I am heading to vegas this weekend and I am planning on hopping to every casino that I have time to get to on the strip and also downtown. I would like to know what casinos pay the most for you when you go to vegas where you have the best luck at and also what you play there (slots, tables, etc.). Also if you have a favorite machine that pays well, let me know the name too so I can give it a shot. I play slots.

I am staying off the strip at the eastside cannery hotel and casino and am planning on taking the bus down flamingo getting off at flamingo/las vegas blvd, then start my hopping from there. I only have been to the strip twice and I have only been to a few casinos there and the worst for paying was the mirage. The best paying was the Venetian (both times I visit) and Caesars Palace from what I can remember. I don't remember the names of the games that I played that did well there because it was 2 years ago and they might not be there anymore, but no matter what I went on at the Venetian, machines were paying.

The Palms has very good slots and video poker. I've had my share of good luck there. I don't gamble on the strip with the exception of live poker, machines are way to tight on the strip.

I'm all for taking the bus but if you're walking to Flamingo from the ECannery consider taking the Sam's Town non-stop shuttle to the Strip. It's free and only for Sam's guests but I've never seen it full enough to check room keys or player cards. It drops you off and picks you up behind Harrah's with the many other tour buses.

    PM times in bold
    Sam's to Harrahs 10:10, 11:30, 12:50, 2:10, 4:20, 5:50, 7:20, 8:40
    Harrah's to Sam's 9:30, 10:50, 12:10, 1:30, 3:40, 5:pm, 6:30, 8:pm, 9:10

There's also a Sam's Shuttle to Downtown and back.
    Sam's to Fremont 9:am, 10:15, 11:30, 12:45, 2:00, 3:15, 4:30, 5:45, 7:00, 8:15
    Cal to Sam's 8:30, 9:45, 11am, 12:15, 1:30, 2:45, 4:pm, 5:15, 6:30, 7:45, 9:pm

If you're Downtown Saturday stop by the Main Street Station casino Boar Bar at 4pm for the Vegasmessageboard.com Meet. We'll be drinking their own brewed beer and playing bar top video poker with the best of Downtown pay tables. I can't help you on the slots except to say stay away from Kitty Glitter.

I have a softball game during that time saturday, so I cannot make the meet. I am in vegas for a womens fastpitch softball tournament. I play 10:45 Saturday and 3:15pm. On Sunday I play at 10:45am and then 1pm to see who moves onto the championship Monday morning.

Speaking of the buses, I am staying at the eastside cannery hotel and casino. I am not staying at sams town, so I won't be able to go on the sams town bus. Plus I want to stay later than 9pm on the strip. I would like to stay until at least 10 or 11pm. I want to make sure I visit quite a few strip casinos and I hope I don't get stuck in the Venetian, which I may get stuck in there like last 2 times I went (2011 and 2012) because I do well in there. Maybe because they always have the games I like. I always start in the back of the casinos and make my way to the front. My first stop is Flamingo though, then whatever casino is in line next and so on staying on the same side of the street casino hopping half way until about 8pm, then turn around on the other side of the street until about 10pm or so arriving back to flamingo blvd, then head back to my hotel on the bus. I don't know how many casinos I will visit and if one will keep me on a machine for a while if it is in the hot paying mode, never know when you will find a hot machine that won't stop paying you. =) On Saturday, I will try and visit more uptown casinos that I did not visit Friday evening, same with Sunday. My goal is to visit as many uptown casinos as I can and come out ahead in each one except for the Mirage where I had bad luck at.

I may say what I want my plans to be now, but when I get to vegas, plans may change. I also have my softball team that will be wondering around the strip friday evening to different bars and such to hang out with too. I just know I for sure want to play at the Venetian and maybe win a jackpot or hand pay there if lucky. Almost won one couple years ago there.

I have the best luck at Monte Carlo's HL room. Worst luck is Mirage that I refuse to play there.

I am glad I am not the only one that has the worst luck at the Mirage. Everything is dead there. My best luck is the Venetian. I am going to try and slot hop a lot there on a bunch of machines. I am going to have a strip casino rule where if I spin 10 times that does not give me what I spent back, I will get off and hop to a different machine. I will start betting low and increasing my bet as the machine gets hotter. I just hope the machines I pick do not get hot right away before I up my bet. I want to find games where I can stay on for a while and will get hotter and hotter where I can increase my bet like I did last Friday evening getting my first hand pay at my local playing on the same game for a while.

I hope this slot hopping technique I am using works if I follow it.

I have had two winning trips thus far in my Vegas career...

Both of them were a result of a four of a kind in Mississippi Stud
Both four of a kinds occured at Margaritaville...at the same table...in the same seat!!!

I also have pretty decent luck at the Mystic Unicorn slot at Excal, and have ZERO luck at slots at NYNY, but made a killing playing roulette at NYNY betting all the primes.

In all my previous trips to Las Vegas, I usual won in the Luxor, NYNY, and the Strat. Downtown I usually do well at the Golden Gate, Las Vegas Club, and Main Street Station.

My biggest slot jackpot was at Bally's in 2004-the morning I was leaving.

Best craps percentage winning session was at the Las Vegas Club in 1999. That was my first trip.

I never do anything at the Venetian or Treasure Island.

Looking forward to July 5-the day I leave!

Usually have better luck at MLife casinos than CET but this recent trip was the opposite. Won nothing at NYNY or MGM at all...no profit whatsoever at any point during the trip. Lost at every single machine I sat down at. Did ok at Monte Carlo and Excal but did the best at PHo and Bally's.

I find that the Vegas casinos I play good at are the ones I did badly on my last trip.

The ones that were good to me last trip tend to just suck up my money.

Therefore my favorite casinos to play in changes regularly.

My favorite casino I like to STAY at seldom changes...

I did really well at The D. Was up about $600 at one point at craps.

That made me break even from what I lost at Four Queens at craps/BJ.

I always seem to do well at The Wynn for the Strip and Four Queens or Fremont for downtown.

P.S. The Monopoly Station game at Wynn always seems to pay off for me...it's near the front of the casino (unless they moved it).

Hmmm...that question can go back a ways...so, I'll stick with just the last 5 years or so.

Best wins playing blackjack - tie, between the Cal and Gold Coast.

Best wins playing UTH - tie, between the Plaza and the Rio

Best wins playing 3-card poker - 1. Plaza 2. Golden Nugget 3. Four Queens

Best win playing craps - El Cortez

Most money ever won at a single table at a single casino? 3-Card at the Mirage about 20 years ago.

Most money ever won playing craps? Bet a $25 hard-8, won and pressed it to $75 & won that too. (But that was actually on a gambling ship - not in Vegas).

Most money ever won playing blackjack? It was back in the 90s, playing a $25 two-deck game at the Riviera. A simply incredible run that lasted several hours (and about 15 Tanqueray & tonics).

Casino that I've won the most money from over the years? The Stardust (R.I.P.)

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!

Got to Vegas yesterday (Friday). Eastside cannery paid good, flamingo paid even, Venetian I was ahead but then should have left ahead, and quad I do not want to talk about it. The people singing at the tables by the entrance were freakin loud!!! And when I am playing machines, people who worked there kept asking how I was doing and if everything is fine. No other casino did that. Every time someone interrupt me, machines went dead. I left the quad behind and I actually found Las Vegas blvd this time. In Venetian I was lost and had to ask how to get out lol.

I am not going to go back to quad again, did not like workers interrupting me when playing. If I do go in the quad again this weekend if I head to strip, I am not going to play by casino entrance from Las Vegas blvd. I lost in there and could not get back into it. I get distracted easily.

SoCalMom - Wish I was there to attend games! I never thought of Vegas for tourny's! GOOD LUCK!

We are huge BAMA softball fans and my daughter played travel ball (now 22 ). We do not have adult women (fastpitch) teams here......

    Sorry for the hijack!:ssst:

    I only play slots..

Largest & most consistent wins - Mandalay Bay

I've only been to The D a hand full of times but never left without a handpay.

Aria has been my 2nd best strip casino (for wins).

By the way, Venetian took out titan 360. I wonder where they moved it too. I thought quad took it out too because it was not by the o'sheas anymore, but it was moved to quad entrance from Las Vegas blvd. the wheel on it wasn't working last night unfortunately :(. So the game when on bonus ring went to the big video screen, which was not fun to watch at all and lasted a few seconds. :( I wonder if the wheel is broken (light not even on) or if something went wrong with it.
