    My Trip Report

I thought I would share my trip since I enjoy reading all the other reports. We flew out of Chicago on 4/12 on Southwest, the flight was on time and uneventful other then people saving a whole row of seats with a coat. Get to Vegas and the bags seemed to take longer then usual, we head to the rental bus shuttle and head to AVIS, got the premium car for $37.00 all in. Did not have to wait in line because of being a preferred customer, head to the car and its a brand new Lincoln MKZ, very nice and fun to drive. We headed to Albertsons to pick up some supplies and then to Del Taco for a quick bite to eat. Headed over to the Orleans and promptly lost a hundo. Always liked the Orleans but have to say they need to throw a little cash into the casino and up date it. We then headed over to the Palms for some free play. This place seems like it has lost its Jessica Simpson appeal from a few years back. I lost the GF won so its time to check into the Monte Carlo, thanks to MYVEGAS. Check in was a breeze and up to the room. The staff at this hotel is outstanding, the room was fine nothing special but clean and worked for us. Head down to the casino and lose on the machines promptly. The rest of the trip is kinda a blur of heavy drinking, the pool, and gambling. One note about the poker room at the Monte Carlo is there are allot of locals grinding it out, and when you river a card they get upset, and when they say something to you and you say something back they call security on you. Good thing the dealers know who tips and doesnt they quickly back the right person and put the local on notice. Played allot of Carribean Stud and won about $1000, lost my ass at the craps table, and the machines were tight everywhere but the Trop. Love Vegas and could of got married and divorced for $40.00 by an ex con but we passed. Can't wait to go back and have to say the strip has won my business back from downtown! Good Luck to all and once again can't wait to go back. Flight on southwest home was on time and uneventful, but did hear chatter from the flight attendant that they are planning on start charging for bags soon!

    Thx for the post update!

    Did you use the pool?
Mostly all grinders in the PR?
Any short runs on craps? or totally south?
Midway closer to you or you prefer it over ORD?

Yes we used the pool and really enjoyed it, other then the booze was a little spendy in my opinion $8 for a bottle of bud. Craps was horrendous for me the whole trip, I would win the first bet then I would lose everything in the next 5 minutes of rolls. The Monte Carlo PR was local grinders, which doesnt usually bother me but for some reason these guys were pissy when you beat them, like I told the guy I can chase all I want its my money and since its pissing you off I will continue to do it. I prefer flying out of ORD but I fly Southwest allot when I am flying to Vegas because of the number of flights plus the no charge for bags and the GF packs like we are going to Australia for a month, when we are only going to be in vegas for 4 days and 5 nights. Good luck to all!
