    Hi,
I am a 25 year old student and I am traveling alone.
At the moment I am trying to find the best price/value room.
I found a few coupon codes and that is what I got so far.

    In Vegas: 10/02/14 - 10/05/14

(Prices are total - including taxes and fees.)

NYNY: $560 - 2 Free Admissions to our screamtastic Roller Coaster and a $50 drink credit!

    Vdara: $578 -

"Two Nights in a Deluxe Suite
    • Complimentary View Upgrade
    • Two – VIP Passes to HAZE Nightclub (Thursday – Saturday Only) – Subject to restrictions
    • Two - 2 for 1 Cocktail Certificate for The Deuce Lounge
    • Two – 2 for 1 Cocktail Certificate for Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge
    • Two – 2 for 1 Cocktail Certificate for Bar Vdara"

One night I probably have to stay at another room as the offer above is just valid for two nights...

    MGM Grand: $640 - 20% off + 20$ dining credit each day

    Luxor: $417

    Flamingo: $348
    --

I like the VIP passes for the HAZE club even if I don't know if it's a good one and the price is a bit high for my budget.
Also I wont stay long in the rooms. I do not need a quiet environment! So what would you think?

    Thanks :)

I would look at Smartervegas.com for coupon codes. $50 in drink credit will get you about 4 drinks. Are you looking for a bed and a shower or a 4 diamond room? Are you willing to taxi to a nightclub or does it need to be at your hotel?? Lots of things to think about and consider.

When I hear student I hear Flamingo! Vdara and Aria will have much nicer rooms but if rooms are less of a factor than price you to Flamingo. Those drink credits they are offering? at $12 a drink, they do not go as far as the $2-300 you are saving at Flamingo. If MGM was in the same ball park as Flamingo I would say go there but since it is way higher, I think you go Flamingo my friend. And where Haze is concerned, it's not that big of a deal anymore or hard to get in to.

Before I leave I will say...if room is a factor, then perhaps Aria. I would put forth that those are the most comfy beds in Vegas!!!!

And remember, MGM, ARIA etc will have $25 a day Resort tax every day. That adds up fast, especially on a tight budget. Not sure what Flamingo resort tax will be but it is less than $25.

If this is your 1st trip and budget is a concern.....save your $$ for things you find that you want to do.....Flamingo is older but has a prime location to walk to so many other nice / fun places. And the pool should still be open for your dates and theirs is one of the bests. Good luck and have fun!

lots of things to consider, but I agree - save your hotel money and use it elsewhere. might even check out the Quad for the weekend. it's prob south of $350.
something must be happening that weekend - the prices you quote seem a bit high.

At those prices I wouldn't consider anything but the Flamingo. It's central, it's nicer than the Luxor, and probably at least on a similar level to NYNY I'd say. But you're saving $300. No brainer IMO.

...or, you could stay at Westgate (LVH) for $180 for all 3-nights... (per Expedia).
Take the monorail south to pretty much anywhere on the Strip you want to be. There's a very-convenient monorail station right there at the hotel.

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!

Hey, thanks for all your help.
Seems like Flamingo would be the way to go. Maybe with a $20 sandwich...
Still if anybody got some good ideas please share them :)
Maybe another way of getting some good coupons instead of retailmenot.com or smartervegas.com / mycheapvegas.com

I'd suggest Bally's. Best location + low prices (comparing to Paris and Flamingo) = best value.

Skip Luxor, MGM and NY-NY. They are old and far away from the central.

For a first timer they gotta stay on the strip!

I also agree with jammer, check into Ballys. I think it's way better than Flamingo and smells much much better.

I agree! Skip anything on the south end of the strip. That end of the strip is now old and boring.
On a budget: Ballys, Flamingo, Harrahs and The Quad are great choices.

Flamingo is the best bet for a student on a budget. Prime factors being location and pool.

If you want to spend a few more bucks, Mirage is a nice step up for younger folks. Lots of young people there and once again it's got prime location. MGM would make my list except I don't like it's location. I like the mid/North Strip because you can go from place to place quickly.

I would say Flamingo. Casino open to the strip and the Linq right beside it. Ball's is nice but with the construction out front not as accessible

As much as I hate to recommend Flamingo, because it's a tad sketchy, out of that list, it'll probably work best for your trip! Great location. You can walk to Drais' which is probably the hottest nightclub in town.. I would spring for a GO room if it's not much more.. those are much better..

It's a busy weekend in Vegas, so it's very expensive. MGM hotels are hosting a huge country music festival (outside across from Luxor), so you'd probably have better luck at non-MGM properties.

Well, all I can say is thanks a lot for your recommendations.
I will probably stick to the FAB rooms as GO rooms are starting at $100 more each day.
How about the Sandwich trick? Maybe a $20 or $50 Dollar sandwich will give me an upgrade?
I do not know how good the chances are of getting an upgrade at Flamingos.

An additional option to consider, on a budget. TI has a rate for your dates of travel that totals $441.66. However, you can knock that down, most likely, by going with another special or by simply signing up for MyTI Guestbook - easy to find on the website. Once you sign up for the guestbook they will push you a better rate code than is on the websites. TI does not have the huge pool scene like Flamingo but it is respectable. Great location too.

$20 sandwich will almost always work at flamingos as long as they aren't full. Got a GO room for $20 when I stayed there.
