Vdara is totally smoke free. Vdara suite is separate living and bedroom area. MGM Spa Suite is one room. Both have separate showers. Access to strip about the same. Very little noise at Vdara in my experience there. I would pick Vdara Suite because of coffee maker, large refrigerator, more room. You didn't mention casino, but Vdara has no casino, but very short walk to Aria casino. Very laid back at Vdara as opposed to MGM Grand.

Have stayed at V twice. Great room. Do not like having to go outside to get to casino - either Aria or Bellagio. There is much to be said to take the elevator to bed.

Quiet, noisy? I find most hotel areas about the same. They are NOT in the casino.

A real suite vs a large room would push me to Vdara though. Wife and I have different sleep schedules.

Another factor - where do you like to play?

And, if with someone else, are they okay walking back to room on their own?
