    Hi all,

Usually stay in Mlife properties and I know Vdara is one. Never stayed in either of these 2.

Heading to vegas this summer, with my wife and MIL. She is asking for a room with washer/dryer if possible and also kitchen. I also want her to have the Bellagio Fountain View as it is her first time.

Should I be looking at the Cosmo Wraparound Terrace Suite since it has 2 full baths (1 with shower) and a W/D and 3 of us can be in the same room?

Or should I get 2 Vdara Fountain View Suite? Price is around the same, both have kitchens and W/D.

I have offers from other Mlife but I guess with no W/D, and I have to appease my MIL, I have to select one of these 2 lol

    Thanks!

Go with the terrace suite, the room and view of the fountain is awesome. Also both bathrooms has a full size shower (the main has a tub as well) and everything else you are looking for.

Cosmo does not have washers and dryers anymore as far as I know.

Oh that's a bummer, I quite liked the room.

4, but coming from having spent 2 days in Singapore, 2 days in Tokyo, add a layover at LAX, and a 78 year old MIL, and you will see why I kinda need to adhere to her needs.

I am trying to get them to go on a full day Grand Canyon tour so I can get my gambling fix lol

Whoa.... you just blew my mind.

That adds in a whole new complexity. You surely want something where they can just relax. As to the GC tour... good idea... but guessing that will just about kill them spending all day on the bus. But, why not if you can get away with it.

Whatever you get, you must have a separate bedroom for MIL. Sleep patterns are often an issue in Vegas. In your case, they will be a total mess.

We are about to do a multi city RTW trip with 2 days in Sing, 2 in Seoul, etc etc. Since there are a fair number of intl flights in Vegas, I had thought about ending or starting there, but opted out of that. I hope your LAX layover is not too long. That can be a killer.

lol my thoughts exactly, while I really wanted the Cosmo, will most likely end up at Vdara. I can get my fix in the evenings and a few drinks and no one would be the wiser

nostresshere Not my idea but happy wife = happy life? heading to 3 more cities in the US before heading back, if I may say, not too shabby for a 78 year old!

You will not be disappointed with the rooms at VDara.
The good news it is perfectly located to get to Cosmo,Bellagio and Aria.
Down one flight of stairs or elevator and you are 50 yards from the back entrance into Cosmo.

You might consider a 2Bdr room suite at either Elara (connected to Planet Hollywood thru the mall) or Hilton Grand Vacations Flamingo (right behind Flamingo). They're both Hilton timeshares that rent out excess inventory like regular hotel rooms at "fairly reasonable" prices. Both have full kitchens and a washer/dryer in the 2Bdrs. I've stayed at both multiple times and been quite happy...but you do have to say no to a couple of calls about timeshare presentations! Elara has great views from the higher floors, and is a very nice property, but has a funky washer/dryer in one under the bathroom vanity that takes forever to dry clothes. HGVC Flamingo is an awesome location, but a little dated and the view is of the Flamingo's pool. Here's a pic of the living room at Elara.

great ideas, but Vdara is less hassle and honestly fairly cheap with mLife player discount

timeshare salespeople are annoying, no thank you

Yeah, I agree! At least it's only over the phone there...OP has a lot of competing requirements for his trip, hope he can find a sweet spot among the options

W/D, a kitchen stocked with dishes and silverware, Vdara is your place.

I can understand W/D, but full kitchen?
Do you really want to cook in Vegas?

I want a fullsize fridge for leftovers, a microwave and maybe a toaster
also not eating on takeaway paper plates and plastic utensils for the remains of last night's $100+ surf N turf dinner is nice

    don't knock it
until you've tried to jam even a pizza box into the minibar fridge at 3am

I was considering a similar thing for a trip so I could bring my wife and 2 small kids (3 and 4 yrs old). They could swim all morning while I hit the tables, and having a W/D and full kitchen is awesome with little ones.

Is this for all the rooms? Going for a week for March madness and was hoping the wrap around still had a WD. Not a big deal at all but was going to pack a little less if there was a W/D.

Yes, that is my understanding. Kind of a bummer, would be nice on a long trip. We'll be going out for 10 days hopefully this summer and I'll likely have to have things laundered.
