I'm bringing some friends to Vegas for the first time and she'd like to use her slot play to pay for the room. How do I go about doing that? We plan to stay at the Aria. Obviously we need to have the rooms booked before we arrive, and I'm fine with them comping all or just part of the bill based on her play.

I only play poker myself so I've never done this before nor do I have a host. I'll pay for my room on my own, separately (poker rate).

    Thanks in advance!

I assume you mean she expects to play enough slots that would cover her room cost. The following is only guessing....

She needs to be a member of the Mlife players club and put all of her play on that card. Then, on the last night, check with a host to see if she played enough to get the room covered.

What we are missing here is : how much will she be playing? If she is playing a few hundred a day, she is NOT going to get her room comped.

either get enough ecs to pay for the room plus resort rate from slots , good luck or lose enough for them to comp it on the back end or gamble enough for them to comp it off at the end. ive lost 8 k on slots in 20 minuts in the hl room ,it can be rough

yes the question how much is she putting thru the machine in dollar value

Your friend can use her express comps at checkout to pay for the room (assuming she generated enough comps through her play; if not, the desk can apply whatever comps she did generate)

Again, without knowing her play level, or past visit play level, who knows?

FYI - Aria is among the more difficult casinos to get comped rooms from on the Strip. Not the hardest, but surely from easy. Unless of course, your friend blows a few thousand a day.

The amount to earn $500 in EC would be the equivalent of 2X Platinum. This is based on the number of EC I had when making Platinum last year.

    That's a LOT of slot play . . . . .

    Not quite.

$500 ECs is 10k theo, or 330k TCs.

Either way, primary comps is where the room will be picked up from.

Starting from zero, it'd be $117,858 coin in on slots to get $500 in ECs:

But yeah, if she did that much coin in on a trip of 7 days or less, she wouldn't need to use the ECs to get the room comped, she'd have around 10k or more in theo.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

What I want to know is how should she make the reservation? AFAIK when booking via MLife site the room will be prepaid right?

Only if it's a promo where they require the room to be paid ahead of time. Most times, they will charge the first nights rate to a credit card, just like they would do if she booked directly off the hotels website (unless it's a freebie.)

Rarely. Is she already a player in Mlife? Does she have any EC? Any offers?
