I know I should know this, but does Mandarin have any connection with Mlife - as in room charge back to Bellagio, or using Express Comps at Mandarin for drinks?

Chargebacks, absolutely yes, ECs I doubt it.

In the past, you couldn't use comps at the non-casino hotels in the MGM lineup. I don't know that it's changed and if it has, it was for the high rollers.

    Afraid of this.

So, I can charge it back to room, but in the end, I still pay for it. Trying to use of some of my Express Comps before they go away or I go broke and no longer go to Vegas anymore.

People on here told me I had no shot of getting a comped room at Vdara, but I emailed my Aria host and it was no problem.

I would email one of the hosts there and ask, or a host at whichever property you are staying at. My gut tells me they can do it.

I don't think that Mandarin and Vdara are the same. I used my M Life tier discount to get a room for May at the Vdara, and am planning on paying for the room with express comps. They actually have a department that handles M Life marketing for both the Aria and the Vdara. I think Mandarin is in it's own class. If you look at the bottom of the M Life page, the Signature at MGM and the Vdara are mentioned - Mandarin is not.

We just had "high tea" at the Mandarin Oriental on Friday. I was pleasantly surprised to find I could charge it to my room at MGM and used some RFB credit as well.

you're going to trust people that are throwing out completely blind guesses ("I think" or "I doubt") instead of someone with personal experience?

Yup, mine was a completely blind guess based on the fact that Mandarin isn't listed on the M Life site.

Well, I KNOW you can charge back drinks at the Mandarin to other MGM props because I have done it. Clearly the property you a staying at COULD comp these off at the end. I DOUBT the Mandarin is set up to accept ECs and this is pure conjecture.

Here is what my Aria host said: "No, it isn't like staying here at aria. We can't comp over there."

    So I guess you cannot.

To clarify, I had RFB at MGM-- charged High Tea (at MO)to my room at MGM which was then comped. Make sense?

Could you have been at such a high RFB/Theo that they would do what some call "hard comps"?

I'm not sure, but all I know is that it was comped at MGM and we didn't pay for it.

I misunderstood the OP in that I thought they were staying at MO. But I remember that Signature and FS couldn't handle comps for people staying there. I was under the impression that this carried over to MO. I've heard of them working with high rollers to comp stays at the non-casino properties but I really hadn't heard of them really integrating the non-casino props into MLife. So it may be worth calling to see if the bars and restaurants at MO could take Express Comps. If not, a room charge back to Bellagio may be the workaround.

I've stayed at the MO a lot. They don't comp you and you can't use EC comps there.

As someone mentioned Vdara. When that first opened you couldn't get comps there but that appears to have changed now.

Can you get Mlife credit for the stay? In other words, is there any benefit to me calling the hotel to give them my Mlife number?
