I am staying at Caesars and have a line of credit there. I will probably start playing there, but may end up at Cromwell for the $5 craps. If I take $2,000 from the cage and end up mostly playing it at Cromwell or some other CET property, will that be seen as ok or is that a problem? In the unfortunate event that I lose it without giving much play at Caesars will they let me take another $2,000 (I am approved for $5,000)? I don't want to jeopordize my ability to have a marker, it's pretty convenient in my opinion. I could have asked for a line at Cromwell too, but I figured that it would make them nervous if I got a line at 2 or 3 different casinos at the same time.

In theory, as long as you pay Caesars back, you'd think they don;t care. But the fact is, they want most of your action - each casino is a separate operating entity, and they will know how much you played there.

I doubt in the example you gave it would be much of a problem. But it's easy enough to apply at Cromwell.

I have lines all over. I don't think it will make them nervous for you to have multiple lines unless when they go to check your checking account balance, it doesn't justify it.

I do it all the time. As long as you keep your play to a CET casino, they are (at least I haven't been scolded) pretty much OK with it.

That being said, DON'T try it with mLife. They use a different system are much more strict with where the money goes. They want to see action AT the casino where you take out the marker.

Yes he said well about MGM property casinos, they have their own markers each casino and they are pretty strict about where you spend markers at... I was in Vegas two weeks ago (yes im going back in 3 days lol) I gotten markers at Aria and mirage but I didn't had one at bellagio... When I stopped at host office at bellagio and when I brought up the idea getting marker out from mirage to play they were like "NO"! Host end up setting up a line of credit so I can play there...
Host told me so they can track my play along with where marker/money is going ... Oh yeah he also told me that people who are not paying back the markers is at all time high!!!

Hey chuck, if you read this post - don't want to get side track but I want to ask you since you have lines all over..I currently have lines only at mgm property but I would like to open at others as well but I do not want any hard inquiry on my credit report (MGM was soft, thank goodness) do you know when casinos do run credit how do they appear on credit report?

In my experience they only check the average balance in your checking account.

I don't know. They're obviously interested in your checking account balance because that's what the marker is drawn against. But creditworthiness has to come into play also. I check my score occasionally, but never my history, so I don't know. Maybe they just check your score vs your entire history, and that might register differently.

In general "walking" with your marker is frowned upon. They're giving you an interest-free loan with the expectation that you will use it to play in the casino. That said, I think if you just give some play to Caesars first, and then play some at Cromwell later you should be fine. I've used the money from my marker at Aria to play elsewhere, but that was after I played a while at Aria (and played more again later) before I played with the other cash elsewhere.

If you're worried about it then shouldn't be that much trouble to get another line opened at Cromwell. Or use the $1-fee ATM at Casino Royale!

Not sure if this helps, but I had a marker at Aria, and then a couple months later I was going to be staying at Mirage, so I called the MGM credit department and they gave me the same marker limit at Mirage. They said they "might" need to check my info again, but they didn't end up checking my account or credit score again. I think because I had recently opened the Aria account, within last 6 months, and because the account was in good standing.

1+ on taking M-life markers to other casinos,
our old home was Mandalay Bay, (I miss the old TheHotel,, poo on Delano sterile white-washed bla, bla bla)
MB"s wants you to just play there,
Only! No Bellagio, No Mgm-grand, even though I will make marker good.

    We love to hop casinos.
so I just don't use it.

I generally will play a bit with my marker from one of the lines I have and then may take about 2/3 of it to another property. I have never had a problem with this. My credit score last checked in at 827 so I don't think taking another credit line is a problem. If you don't want to play at Caesars at all, just take a line out at Cromwell.

Yeah you are correct if you opened up marker within few months (MGM credit told me upto 3 to 4 months) then they can use same info.... I just like MGM pulling soft credit rather then hard inquiry, Even tho I have credit score hovering over 815 plus I just don't want to see inquiry made by casinos...

CET has been fine with me moving between casinos. I have one at Flamingo & one at Paris However I play at Harrahs, Linq, Ballys, PH, Cromwell, Paris & Flamingo. (Not much at Caesars - just don't enjoy it). Once she checked it & looked at my info but said ok, you are playing. But otherwise they have never mentioned anything before. One of the application times, the girls called me from upstairs (I work at a bank) and said, Ummmm.....some casino wants to know if you are any good. Do you want us to give them info? lol.
