Swarovski store at Mandalay Bay Place.

there is a Swarovski bracelet i would like to purchase for my mom.

they said i canNOT use my express comp points to pay for the item.

though the store allows for us to purchase and charge it back to the room at mandalay bay.

    Question:
can i pay for the swarovski bill that was charged to my room with express comp points upon checkout?

this would effectively maneuver around the restriction and the bracelet would be a gift from the casino :Þ:Þ

You should be able to use Express Comps against your hotel bill.

Interesting. They make a distinction between retail as in a store that they don't own vs retail like a gift shop. Makes sense I guess, they don't get any of the margin on sales from stores they don't own.

I can also confirm this is the case after doing the same. My host told me after I'd made the purchase in the jewellery store in the Aria that express comps cant be used for retail purchases. I had asked the exact same question at the Milf desk and was incorrectly told i could Doh! $250 straight out of my pocket and at checkout no less

Express comps can not be used for retail in any store, hotel or otherwise. Just the way it is.

There are a few exceptions. In some locations you can get tobacco products and some allow you to buy logo merchandise.

Also, when you go to the spa, you can use EC for the service, but not for product. There have been exceptions to that when it gets rung up wrong and the system thinks it is service vs. product.

Part of what make the answers from staff confusing is that you can always charge to your room. And, yes you can use Express Comps at Checkout, but not for retail stuff.

AND - you can use you mlife card for purchases and get a discount.
