Today, I decided to take a job offer at another company. We originally were going to head to Vegas in October but since it is easier to travel now than after I start, we decided to go to Vegas in mid June for 6 nights. We will be staying at MB. I will be cashing out 6 weeks of vacation which will be in part used to fund our time in Vegas.

Good move! Good Luck on your trip and also on your new job. It's possible this same scenario might happen to me. I also plan to do the same!

Hope things work out well for you. When I changed jobs 7 years ago, we did the same thing and it was great. We booked our tickets for our October trip already because Southwest is so cheap flying out of BWI. Rescheduling our flights only cost $48. Host got us our room so all is well. Now need to book L'Atelier and see if there are any shows we want to see. Thinking about seeing Love again. It has been several years.

Good luck on your new job. Don't spend all you vacation pay in one place.
