My husband and I were in Vegas in January and really hadn't planned another trip again until next year. We had a bizarre trip that including me losing my cell phone -- I consider it stolen but I did leave it behind on a vp machine and when I realized it a few minutes later it had already grown legs and walked away. Then we witnessed a deliberate hit and run of a homeless pedestrian just a foot from us. -- My husband does not like Vegas as much as I do and when we got back home he said he was done with Vegas I could go by myself --

I was asked by a friend to go to exciting Eagle Pass - Lucky Eagle this month. That was the plan and then we decided to hit up Winstar in Oklahoma instead after one of the gals took a trip down there. She said it was a tiny casino with very few vp machines.

When I told my husband I was going to Winstar and then described it to him he wanted to go. So I planned for a spring break Winstar trek with him and bailed on my friends -- there was actually nothing planned just talk. I waited too long to book a room for spring break and the rates were sky high. Then we postponed it for the last week of April for my husband's birthday. -- I frequently check mlife for offers -- I usually only get discounted rates. This time MGM sent me an offer for 2 free nights -- no FB or free play - but 2 free nights. So I talked the husband into it again. We will stay a 3rd night for $82.

It will come after having to pay Uncle Sam his due on April 16th -- I'm still waiting to find out how much extra I owe. :grrr:

Winstar is also starting to charge a $10 resort fee - lol

Tunica Roadhouse (CET property) is now charging $14.99/nt just up from $10. All the amenities except for wifi and HDTV are physically 50 yards away at Horseshoe Tunica next door. What a load of crap.

Enjoy your trip! I'm sure it will go better for you than the last one!

Looks like we will be there at the same time. We get in on April 24. Will probably take the late flight on SW from Austin since it is $89. I'll keep an eye on the details.

I just changed my reservation to Bellagio -- got a very good rate -- not free nights but very cheap for the Bellagio $79 a night plus the resort fee --- still a good deal. We really wanted to stay mid strip or north this time
