I'm practising this on videopoker.com but can't find a strategy anywhere. I'm playing 5 or 10 play but never know whether to hold a pair or 4 to a flush. I'm assuming the multiplier after changes the strategy but not sure which play is best. Anyone know please or any links to the correct strategy out there somewhere?

For games where the flush pays 3 for 1, you hold four to a flush over a pair even in standard deuces wild with no deuces. So if your Ultimate X paytable is 3 for 1 for a flush, it would be four to a flush every time.

However, there is one common ultimate x paytable that pays 2 for 1 for the flush. In normal Deuces Wild, you hold a pair over 4 to a flush with no deuces when the flush is 2 for 1.

But as you thought, potential multipliers can change things, and they do in this case.

From ideas the thread below from Wizard of Vegas, you can calculate the "multiplier independent" strategy (i.e. the best strategy for the average case) for ultimate x via trial-and-error using the Wizard of Odds strategy calculator.

Ultimate X strategy Discussion thread: http://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/video-poker/20663-learning-a-new-game-utx-or-qq/

"Airport Deuces" strategy with Ultimate X (works well with most games where flush is 3 for 1):

"Colorado Deuces" strategy with Ultimate X (flush is 2 for 1):
    http://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/strategy/a-1-b-44-c-1-d-0.24238-d-0.98476-d-1.72714-d-2.21189-d-2.71189-d-3.69665-d-9.40854-d-8.48476-d-12.98476-d-100.48476-d-400.48476/

BOTH strategies say to hold 4 to a flush over a pair with no deuces when Ultimate X is involved.

The bigger change becomes when 1 deuce is involved. Holding 4 to a flush with one deuce is better than some plays (including deuce only) in Ultimate X when the flush pays 3 for 1 (which is always incorrect in normal deuces). But when the flush pays only 2 for 1, then deuce only is a better play at Ultimate X than 4 to a flush.
