Is it a comp? If so, call and change the dates to your next trip.

I'm pretty sure they are being deleted because of the jerky comments...

I guess there is little reason for some people to be civil on a message board.

    Sad.

So I finally spoke with someone who figured it out.

Turns out a host booked the room for someone with a similar name as mine (not the same spelling, but close to the same name.)

    Never had this happen before.

They can goof once in a while. My friend checked in last week under a reservation with a similar name and had to move him when they figured out their mistake.

Good to know I'm not the only one!

It would make more sense if my name was Jeff Smith, but I think the Host saw a name "close enough" and made the reservation.
I talked with him for a couple of minutes, you could tell he was a little embarrassed.

In the end no big deal.

You'd be surprised. There is about 300 people with my name spelled the same way in their system. In fact, some of them have the same birthday.

A friend of mine was getting all kinds of points on her CET account, and all kinds of offers. She figured there was someone with the same name and they had accounts screwed up. Was fun while it lasted, but it took years to get that straightened out. And not a common name. We just felt bad for the person whose account it really was lol

Lately I've been getting offers in my inbox from Cosmo for someone with the same last name but a different first name. I thought maybe they just misspelled my name but I check the players number and it is not mine.

Glad you got it figured out.

The most amazing part is that you got the email in the first place. I find hosts often do not send out confirmations and you arrive with hope and trust.

Wow glad you caught that. I couldn't get a replacement card without two (for lack of a better term) cashiers verifying why I had more than one address... Because I moved... As stated before check your credit card statements.

Last time I was at TI, I went to get my account linked with my wife's and found that they had me linked with somebody else's wife. Turns out my account was totally mixed up with his. They ended up giving me a whole new number.

He must be as low a roller as I am as I never received an offer from them, much less one intended for somebody that gambles more than me.

I wonder if this kind of thing happens much? At least it wasn't with something important like bank accounts or giving somebody medical information that isn't theirs.

    Finally!
