Ok, im going to Vegas for the fight. I plan on scalping tickets, just as I did for the Carwin/Lesnar card 2 years ago. I did not have a problem then finding them in my price range, and hope to do the same this time.

BUT, if for some reason I am unable to score reasonable tix...what are some good options?

Any bars on the strip(that would be my prefered alternative)?

I think I've heard one of the station casinos show it, whats the scoop with that?

Any good bars, near the strip?

Ill be in Vegas for the fights too that weekend!
Our group of six already got tickets though (dont think we would have much luck getting 6 tix thru scalping)

But i follow the sport very closely and all that goes with it. From what Ive seen so far, some of the BIGGER viewing parties are going to be at Mandalay Bay and the Palms casino.
Some of the off strip viewing parties will be at The Golden Nugget, Sunset Station, Laggasse's Stadium, Green Valley Ranch, Santa Fe Station, and Red Rock Casino.

Now this is Vegas though and the fights are in Vegas so Im sure a lot of small bars/pubs will be showing the fights as well!!

Im not sure if you are aware but the UFC fan expo is going to be there the same time, july6-7, and you should definitely put this on your to do list if you are an mma fan! Over 50 fighters from UFC and Strikeforce! ALSO, as of a week ago, it is now "International Fight Week" in Vegas. Going to be little various different events going around the new AND old strip! Q&A's with fighters, a pub crawl downtown, couple of pool parties with ufc girls! oh and also a july 4th kick of party/concert with "3 doors down"

We bought tickets when only the UFC 148 was planned for that week. Now its turned into all this! :drunk: Gonna be great times! Good luck with your ticket scalping and hope you have a blast!!!:banana::banana:

Oh also wanted to let you know of the app I use to keep up to date with mma stuff. Its "MMAjunkie".. They have it for the android market and iphone. Has a good format and will probably come in handy when in Vegas.

yeah I plan on hitting up the Expo on the Friday before the fight! That should be cool.

I hope I can scalp as easily and reasonably as I did last time. Alot of MMA attractions that week. I think I should be ok, last time was Lesnar/Carwin and was 3rd of July, so the 4th drew a bigger crowd being on a weekend(its wed now)...so im planning on making it in.

I'll check on Mandalay and palms, that would be a ez walk or cab ride from MGM if I strike out. Where can you buy tix for that and if it(viewing party) sells out?

And im a "mmajunkie" myself, that is a good ap. I also like mmafighting's ap. And of course following the reporters&fighters on twitter

Joe you a Junkie fan? If so ya gotta stop and see GG and Goze at the studio if ya never have, great guys and the best oppurtunity you will ever have to meet fighters face to face when they are not in a rush. Junkie is one place we always stop in nearly every day while in Vegas, and honestly one reason we always stay South end of the Strip to see our buds.

Ace if you go to the UFCs site and click on the 148 link they have a menu that shows all the places which will be broadcasting the fight wherever you are at.

yeah I did a lil more research after posting this and reading Joe's post. I see Blondies has them, and sounds like the sports bar/book at Palazzo will too. I may go in there(palazzo) to scout it out and see what the scoop will be. I figure if prelims start at 3(right?) and main card is 7...I'll give it till around 5 to find tix and if Icant, it will give me time to make it to a viewing party somewhere else. I just wanna make sure its not sold out or I cant get in

Usually the only fights shown at places like Blondies and Lagasses are the main events, they usually don't show the prelims just FYI. Lagasses is the best choice but you definitely need to call and reserve a spot there as they fill up and do it quick, possibly sold out by now. BTW if you are on Twitter make sure to follow Dana White, every card in Vegas he does tix give aways and they are usually decent seats.

I do follow Dana, I'll keep my eye on his twitter, especially when I'm down that way on Friday for the Expo. I'll call Lagasses and Blondies early in the week and see what they say about capacity and selling out

If you go to Blondie's website you can check the seating for UFC 148. When I checked this morning they had three 8 top booths still open and one four top table. Seating is $80/person and you must book full tables (or at least 6 in an eight when I called to ask a few fights ago). Standing room only is $60/person (there is a small stadium seating section that will fill quickly). The cover includes all you can drink draft.
