For me it doesnt get easier than walking out of the hotel to the taxi stand and hand the guy $2 to wave the next taxi in line.

Maybe if I was in some remote locale and needed a cab I'd use it.

Of course the officials approve this app... It just gives more money to the taxicab mafia.

It's still insane to me that Nevada (ahem, i mean the taxicab union) got away with banning Uber..

Just wait until AirBnB starts threatening to take business away from the Strip hotels!

I remember last trip there was like 20 minute + line at the mirage for a taxi. My buddies and I, wanting to go to freemont, just walked to the back of the building and flagged one down before it got into the taxi line. I'm sure you're not supposed to do this, but I tipped him a little extra for the help

I dont see that being a thing in Vegas. Half the draw is staying in the casino hotels. Location is key to your trip. I dont see people wanting to hoof it out to Summerlin or whereever. The houses near the strip and downtown are a few notches above a bus station (unless they are the luxury condos). I can get a better rate staying at a 3rd tier hotel casino near the action.
