    Hello,

I wonder if there are any two dollar black jack tables on the strip?

If I remember correctly, Hooters offer "cheap" gambling, right?

Any others available? Maybe more central at the strip?

    Thanks.

Boy did this bring back a funny memory. Several years ago we were in town with a big group. One of the guys wanted to learn to play blackjack but couldn't FATHOM starting on a $5 table (seriously), so after walking all over and asking people, we jumped in two cabs at Ballys down to Sahara. Nope. Place was empty, one bj table ($10) open but full. I asked pit boss to open another table and was told absolutely not, they didn't have any dealers. Good lord. Back to the cab line where there literally are no cabs. We waited an hour with everyone's buzz fading. There were two cabs coming back to Ballys full of unhappy people lol.

So good luck. I hope your search is better than ours.

Can't remember the last time I saw a $2 table anywhere - even for 6:5 crapjack. Would have been 15+ years ago. If you go off-strip you can find $5 tables easily enough but I don't remember seeing any $5 tables on the strip on my recent trip - again even for 6:5 if you are willing to play that "game". Of course, I wasn't really looking for $5 6:5 tables so maybe there are some.

Megachucky, I would say, with near certainty, that there isn't any $2 or $3 dollar BJ on the strip. Consider it a good thing because with all the $15 6:5 BJ at the $2 level the players would probably have to pay the casino for the privilege of a blackjack. o_O

There is $3 BJ downtown at the Fremont and I believe the El Cortez has some games at that level as well.

    Hope this helps.

Last time I saw $3 on the strip was at Slots-o-Fun right next to CC. This was maybe 2009. I don't even know if they have any table games anymore. It's also not very conveniently located. I was on the deuce and got off to check out the area. I wouldn't have been in that area otherwise.

You are correct. I was there this summer and they don't have any table games, pretty sure its been that way for quite a while.

Hooters had one $3 table 3 years ago. It was packed an impossible to get on. Build a time machine and go back to 2009 and you will find some.

Before the Riviera closed down they had a $1 BJ table. Terrible rules, 6/5, it was always packed....

Check the the Max casino in the Westin. Although not technically directly on the strip at one point they had a “Table Games Happy Hour” each day from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with 25-cent roulette and $3 craps, and “Early Bird $3 Blackjack,” each day from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

I have no idea if it is still going on but its worth looking into.

I don't know if it's already occurred, but the Westin plans to dump its small casino in favor of a new restaurant! I stopped in for a look a year ago on the way to Ellis Island and the casino was absolutely dead.

That makes sense. I dropped by the Westin's casino (back when it was called the Casuarina casino) during their gaming happy hour and it was completely dead. No excitement, hardly anybody there, and zero drink service at the tables. We didn't stay long.

If by the Strip you mean Boulder Hwy and by $2 you mean $3, then yes. We always make a trip to Jokers Wild so my wife can play their $1 craps game. I play blackjack instead. Always fun, easy rules, and I never have to worry about running out of money.

Cheap gambling = downtown, boulder strip or some other off-strip casinos. Even if you up your limit to $5, there's nothing playable on the strip, as far as BJ is concerned.

Now, if you'd like to play on large community BJ machines, then you might have some luck. I remember playing S17 $3 BJ at Excalibur and Luxor last year. Not sure if the machines are still there though.
