Hey you live in Crystal Lake? I live in Huntley, we're practically neighbors! Did you like flying out of Rockford? Thought about it for our trip this summer but since we have to drop the kids off at my parents who live 10 minutes from Ohare it just makes more sense to fly from there.

After my last post I went downstairs and sat at a BJ table, it was just back and forth for what seemed like forever. My buddy came by with a friend of his to get dinner at 5 (vegas time). I cashed out up $100 from a $500 buy in. We went to stripsteak and I ordered the lobster linguini w roasted mushrooms, I also got the hot brownie sundae for desert. The meal and the service was great! Charged my portion to the room and I'm going back to the tables!

Just got back upstairs, down $100. I definately got my moneys worth in the form of Coronas. The drink service here is WAY better than the V. This is the first casino I've been to where it's ok to talk on your phone while you're playing. Makes things really convienant. Day 1 is in the books, money has been added to the remaining days I have left in Vegas so that's a win of some kind. Here's the pic of the view, I have pics of the room if anyone wants to see them, my camera phone isn't the best but it will have to do!

Thanks for doing live updates Tuna! Have you checked the sports book at all? What are the odds on our White Sox to win the AL and the Series?

    Have a great trip!

I wake up at 6:30 this morning because I can't sleep for shit in Vegas. I lay in bed for awhile, get up, get dressed because I'm going to make my appearance at the rental show today and get it over with. I shower up and get over to Mandalay Bay by 8AM. Turns out the fuckin show starts at 10. Anybody who read my TR from last February knows how much I hate MB's casino. I absolutely cannot win there. So I bought in for $500 and lost it in a half hour. This fucked up my whole day because I knew better than to play in that casino.
I get a coffee and wait for the exhibits to open up. I call a few people I know that are attending the show. I hook up with them and go in. MB's convention center is huge, my first thought is nobody will miss me. I make an excuse to go to the other side of the room and I bounced...no vaca days will be used on this trip. Before I left I think I may have talked to hoya, I didn't have the nerve to walk up to a complete stranger and say, hey are you hoyaheel from VMB? I definately talked to a lady at her husbands booth so we will see.
Left MB and headed back to PHO...before I forget, I had a breakfast burrito from border grill (i think that was the name), I wouldn't get it again. Also, a correction from my earlier post, I went to strip house for dinner last night, not strip steak (i realized that when I walked by strip steak at MB).
Anyway, I sit down at PHO and buy in for $500. I lost that in a couple hours so I decided to walk around for awhile. I passed by a bank of $.01 wizard of oz slots and decided to give it a try just to kill time because I didn't want to go up to the room and wait for the bad luck to wear off. This slot is awesome, my chair is shaking and monkeys are flying on the screen and shit. I hit a bonus that won a hundred dollars and after 3 hours I walked away from that machine up $80. It's about 5pm now and I'm getting hungry so I went to a place called Yolos. I ordered the guacomole for an appetizer and pork carnita tacos for the main course. Both were awesome. I'm really happy with the food so far even while the gambling sucks, usually everything tastes like shit when I'm losing. I'm now deciding whether I should walk outside and see what the weather's like (i was only outside long enough to get in and out of a cab earlier) or sit back down with a few hundo and see what's up. Ahhh...who am I kidding, I'm going back to the tables, wish me luck!

Yeah huntley is right down the street, I use to have a store there on 47 until the owner had to pull out due to the economy. I'm checking the odds for the wsox tomorrow, if they're decent I'm gonna throw a couple hundo on em.

Planet Dalies for breakfast, went with an omelette with cheese, sausage, onion and mushrooms., side of bacon. Lost more money last night, don't really want to go into the boring details.
Gambled today, played the wizard of oz machine, Glinda hooked me up with $300 from a $40 start. Took it over to the BJ table and doubled it. Nothing huge but I'll be ok for my last day tomorrow.
I went to Cosmo buffet for dinner and I really can't put that place into words. It's almost as if I died and went to fat mans heaven. Absolutely awesome. Everyone needs to experience this at least once in their life. It was $29.95 for dinner...my fuckin omelette I told you about earlier came out to $35 (with tip). I took some pics for my peeps on vmb...

Did you have to show a picture of a chocolate covered strawberry? I mean really, how much of this do you think we can take? Seriously, that buffet looks like a must do, and I am not a fan of buffets in general.

Now, get back out there and win all your momey back and then some!!

So sorry I missed you! My nephew's virgin Vegas trip had me running ragged all over the place. Glad those wizard machines paid off for you! My brother kept throwing 20's in them to no avail. I did best at ph on the Frog Princess machine and Cleopatra multi-play (won a progressive for $375 during a bonus round).

I wanted to eat at the ph restaurants you visited but the family didn't. Sigh. I really need to go with people the same tastes as mine. I did enjoy Earl of Sandwich (the BLT was de-lish!) and the buffet. Did not like Pink's - the chili cheese dog just didn't agree with me and the onion rings were quite overdone.

Too bad I didn't just ditch the fam and meet you for drinks. We could have talked baseball for quite awhile I'm sure.

How are the wait times at the Cosmo buffet? You've got me wanting to check it out on my upcoming trip now.

There's people here but nothing like summer. That pic was taken pretty early in the morning. I don't think the turn out is that bad considering its midweek the first couple days of march...
