I was stuck in Randomtownsville, NJ on Saturday for work and had a day to kill, so I just played online while watching college football. (have to say I enjoyed how calm my gaming atmosphere was, if Nevada added online gaming I’d give a decent amount of my play to online gambling while sitting in my room haha)

Anyway, I played at the Tropicana Online Casino and put through just over $40,000 in bets in blackjack (house edge was about .36%). I read on their website that you earn tier credits for the land-based Trop AC while playing online, so I thought, “I wonder how close I’ll get to advancing a tier”. You need 4,000 credits at the land based casino to get to Copper (which is like Pearl for mLife- means very little).

I figured my play would put me close. After all, this would net 4,000 points from videoblackjack at any mLife property (worth $40 in pointplay and $40 in express comps).

I logged into and saw they gave me…..298 points and $.65 in comps. I was amazed. They seem to not actually want any online play. They’d want about $530,000 in blackjack bets to give me the worthless 2nd tier. That’s about $600 in bets online per penny in comps.
In all this rambling and ranting, here is the bottom line: My theo for the day was about $150 and they gave me 65 cents.

I’ve got to be missing something…was the online gaming segment added just to get addicts to play and not build a client base?

That's my guess. And it has really fell short of expectation. But 0.36% is pretty good HA. But yeah, you should gave got more than a buck in comps.

The expected loss is only $144 not sure what you expected as far as comps.

It's an online casino, so I'm not expecting RFB but that play anywhere land based would do more than give me 65 cents. Like I said, mLife would give far more and even CET would do $9 or so in RCs. I would've been expected something on that end.

All I'm saying is no matter what you played, there seems to be little value.

Update: Trop had said my online and land-based accounts were linked but they weren't. So I just got an email saying my recent play was awarded comp value of about $10.50 and it earned $4 in freeplay. Much more reasonable. I now need to get my accounts linked but I wanted to give people the correct info. I was comped better than I had thought. Looks like the value of the combined comps is 10% of my theo from playing blackjack.
