    My Trip Report

    Not a detailed or typical trip report this but as my excitement builds up to my 9th trip since 2007 I was thinking about my past trips and thought i would summarise / share;

    2007 - Luxor - 7 nights
I came to Vegas on my own as it was always a dream / ambition to visit and I was hooked. Done all the typical tourist stuff. I remember being bewildered at all the strip casinos and had a great first vacation. I do remember getting severly sunburned at the Luxor pool....so much so i could not go out on the Saturday night (Disaster)

    2008 - NYNY - 12 nights
Three lads over from Scotland and we had a blast. Kilts on everyday and we received plenty of attention. First many time seeing Big Elvis. 2 memories stay with me....1 my mate being to intoxicated to remember where his table was at Bellagio buffet, so he wandered about with a plate of food for a while, then put it down and just left without eating anything!! The other was myself walking out of a strip club with about 1 dollar left in my pocket, and when i looked around I could not even see the strip...still to this day ive no idea where i was but i know it was a very long walk back to NYNY.

    2010 - Bills Gamblin Hall - 14 nights
4 lads over for a sports convention. (NARSA)
2 weeks of alcohol abuse and losing money at Roulette table.
How we managed to drink for 2 weeks still mystifies me but this was a fabulous lads holiday. Abiding memories was 1 particular female wanting all 4 of us up at the room at the same time (Only 1 of us obliged (not me ;-) )
The other was the 2 New Yorkers we met on the Friday afternoon and within 1 hour they blew their entire weekend budget on Roulette - And they had to go and tell there wives this haha.

    2011 - Bills Gamblin Hall - 8 nights
A large mixed group of us with a number of Vegas newies in tow. Standout night was Friday in Voodoo lounge.
But this was the vacation that did not go to plan.....
As I was intending to propose in the Grand Canyon (with it being secretly filmed) etc etc
When we turned up for helicopter, bad weather cancelled the flight. PANIC. I contemplated some alternatives (Bellagio Fountains and such like) but in the end I decided to propose in the quiet of our room. Not so romantic but the outcome was still what mattered. (She said Yes)
First time going home in profit on gambling woohoo ($49 in the black!!!!)

    2012 - Flamingo - 5 nights
    The Stag do (Bachelor Party)
As she said yes it seemed the right choice to have the stag do in Vegas too. So my dad got a taste of Vegas action. (He loved it, and was propositioned at the bar one evening by a lady on a conference, so im sure that was great for the ego)

    2012 - Wynn - 2 nights
The last leg of my honeymoon after driving done California coast.
Wanted to stay in Wynn since my fist Vegas visit but could not justify the cost previously. Very nice stay in a panoramic room. Falling on my ass on Gilleys dance floor was a particular moment of triumph that trip.

    2015 - Flamingo - 5 nights
My 40th holiday. A group of us in vegas for my birthday. And a great time had once again. The standout was the meal and celebrations in Mix lounge.

    2015 - Vdara - 7 nights
Me and 2 mates got a great deal for Vdara and what a great place to stay. Tried going to different bars than we usually frequent over previous trips and had a blast. Started when arrived until the moment we left.
A birthday (1 of the group) meal at Prime was superb.
That meal aside it was the usual alcohol infused week with great laughs.

    2016 - Vdara - 7 nights
This is now 2 weeks away and 2 x couples going over for what to be another fantastic time ahead.........
When my wife saw the fantastic Vdara room she insisted that we have to stay there this time too!!

So various trips for different reasons but they all come down to having a great time...far too much alcahol (if thats possible) definately far too much food, but it always end far too early.

    Vegas..... see you soon.

I spent 3000$ one night at the Rhino at a bachelor party - did not have one dollar left to my name - told my tail of woe to the doorman and be sent me back to PH in a Limo - am sure this happens all the time

That's a rookie mistake - to this day I keep $100 "hidden" in my wallet for emergencies
