    My Trip Report

Since I just recently wrote a full-on trip report for S&M, these are just some of my thoughts on this recent trip:

It’s a little scary when you read the “amenity†sheet at El Cortez and the first thing listed is “your Do Not Disturb signâ€. Huh?? No disappointment in the room there, however. It was clean and spacious. The Jacuzzi was not a five person hot tub, however. It was a two person tub. Three, max.

This trip marked the third time I’d ever visited the El Cortez casino, but only the first time doing so not under the influence of the grain train. Man, that casino needs a lung transplant!!

Having an $80 comp and spending $79.11 of it Rules

    Great restaurants start with “ROâ€: Rosemary’s, Roy’s, Roberta’s.

Meeting up with friends at Carnaval Court rocks. The band there from Saturday and Sunday nights was incredible. It’s definitely my favorite place to be in Vegas (with Voodoo being 2nd). Plus the girls there all recognize me & Jer now. We’re famous (or maybe we’re Infamous).

Beware the Twisted (Toxic) Lemonade drink at CC. Be afraid if you are drinking three of them at one time.

Being an adult female, it had been many many years since I’ve laughed so hard I cried at a fart joke. Situational comedy - you had to be there to get it but it was ridiculously funny at the time.

Jer has more room karma than anyone I know. Turning a one-night emergency reservation at Bally’s into a night in a two room suite with huge tub and fully functional bar… all I can say is it’s a damn shame he didn’t have that for a party night!

Meeting new board friends is always fun. I feel badly that we never met up on Sunday, CeCe and Carmen - I spent several hours trying to find a way to get Jer home that day. It almost became a road trip to San Diego. And Marty? We don’t care who you dance like. Most of the people on the dance floor were just bumping into each other… surely you can do that!

I remember dancing so much my thighs hurt…

Being bummed that we couldn't find a limo on Saturday night to go cruise the town and visit Mikey at Sunset Station (I really need to get more business cards for limos to carry around with me... one never knows when one will be needed, right?)

I remember rolling repeated nines from stick left at Barbary Coast. Jer is now a believer like Al.

I finally made it to Palms, and I really enjoyed it. It’s the closest I’ve found to Borgata anywhere in Vegas. Hearing My Chemical Romance on the sound system doesn’t hurt either.

Speaking of Borgata, I’d heard that the high roller pit at Mirage had been re-done and now looked more like the east coast resort. I sort of agree. It doesn’t resemble the gambling areas at Borgata at all, but it sure does remind me of a couple of the restaurants there!

Finally made it into Imperial Palace this trip also. Unfortunately that didn’t impress me much. Am I the only one who can’t really figure out who some of the “impersonators†are trying to be in the celebrities pit??

I ate really well this trip. No real duds in the lot, either. Info posted in restaurants. The lemonade drink from Carnaval Court became the official beverage of this trip, I think. Really good going down. From what I hear, not so good coming back up. They’re Citron Vodka, Raspberry Vodka and pink lemonade. Yummy.

Making sure my friends all participated in the trip vicariously was half the fun. We sent a lot of text messages, voice mails and pictures. A LOT. Bill’s gonna kill me because he won’t think he got his share though. Bottom line is - I don’t want to have to call my friends, I want them to BE THERE having fun with me!

I need a really long nap, but I’m almost ready to go again! And, looking at my countdown clock, looks like I need to think about packing soon! Hehehehe

:drunk: That was my sister when she drank those at Carnaval Court on our 40th birthday - too funny. She couldn't remember walking back to the hotel.

Not if you were doing all the stuff you subtly refer to in your post...
