    My Trip Report

Winter trip to the strip starts tomorrow! This will be Vegas trip #4 for me and Mrs Cheer. Along for the trip are college buddies Q and Durty. We are super low rollers with gambling problems.

    Plans for the trip include:
    Gambling and beers at TAG
Craps at Casino Royale, MSS, Fremont, Golden Gate
Blackjack at Golden Gate, MSS, O'Shea's
Beers at Ellis Island, Chicago Brewing, MSS, Banger Brewing
Happy Half Hour on the High Roller
    Burgers at Umami Burger SLS
    Steaks at Vic & Anthony's
    Pizza Rock
    Ellis Island Steak dinner special
    Daily Bellagio Fountain toasts
    Bloody Marys at Guy Fieri's
    Breakfast at Peppermill, Hash House
    Mirage Lunch Buffet via MyVegas
    Hooker watching at Bugsy's

Flight is at 2:30pm on Friday, hope to be in the long check-in line at Flamingo, attempting a $20 trick, by 5pm. It all depends on how many hours Allegiant will delay us :grrr:
Going to try Uber and Lyft to get around, and hopefully avoid cabs all together.

I posted a photo of my Vegas survival kit below...

looks like you're off to a good start in the drinking department!

The knife is a good question. And a big hazard to puncture the raft!

Big surprise, my brother J-Boy showed up in Vegas unannounced! And brought his girl, Bunny Bombshell. Vegas surprises are the best!

First stop, TAG for some roulette and VP... Mrs Cheer lost 20 on roulette, which cancelled out the 10 I was up. VP was not friendly at the TAG bar.
JBoy played slots on the video poker machines at the bar, and was told the drinks are not comped... was kinda weird. Our drinks at roulette were all comped. Oh well, on to the fountain show!

They told you drinks while playing VP at Tag are no longer comp'd? Really... Since when?

This is getting stupid, I probably would stop visiting Vegas for the most part if all the VP bars started charging for drinks. They was to be stingy with the liquor? I'll be stingy with the cash and trips.

Sorry i should have been more descriptive.... Jboy put a 20 in the VP machine, played a weird slots game, and ordered a beer for him and a cosmo for BB. Then he got a bill for $18. He asked how to get drinks comped while playing, and she said only certain well drinks and certain beers are comped. The beer he ordered was a 12oz stout, pretty standard. Not sure why he got charged full. We'll try again tomorrow and report.

Mm. Indeed please report how tomorrow's experience goes.

I can see for the cosmo, if they requested a specific liquor, maybe? But I can't imagine a "pretty basic stout" being above the comp amount, cor!

Sigh. Which stout? One of those drinks should have probably been free, imo.

They are probably being told to tighten up and follow the rules more. The technical rule is $7 max for Gold TR members. Unfortunately the better 12 oz. beers are often above $7. But the bartender (Stan) told me in August they have a reasonable amount of leeway if they know you'll be playing awhile/coming back regularly (e.g. me). But it's possible policies have changed since then. :(

If Stan (shaved head with goatee) or Heather (redhead with glasses) are working, look for them. They've always treated me well.
