    My Trip Report

First go round on a trip report here. And here I go giving a trip report on Reno instead. Traveled for a bachelor party in Reno so we had around 13 of us for 3 nights. Figured I would just do quick sections and not go into great detail on our every moment.

Thursday: Checked into the Silver Legacy and quickly back to the floor to start in the high limit area where I quickly had 3 Makers Marks for $309 bucks. Next we go my room and drank beer and did shots of Pendleton until around 2am and then back to the casino for BJ and LIR. In bed around 4am.

Friday: Bloody Marys and JOB for the morning. After I finished my 4th drink I was only down 4 bucks. Not a bad start at all. Started with a quick breakfast then to the room for a quick shower and a nap. The main reason we were coming was for the El Dorados BBQ Blues and brews festival. We placed some parlays on the baseball games and started to get ready for the beer. We drank until the end and there is just way to many to get into detail about. Was well worth the $50 dollar 2 day all you can chug package. After the beer was shut down for the day we went down the street to the casino straight off of Vegas vacation where Clark played war and what not. The casino was the Cal-Neva and 1 dollar beers and 5 for 5 shots kept us going until the early morning. Hands down the dirtiest place I went to. What was weird is that they had no rhyme or reason for their 6-5 tables and if you didn't read each one you would be for sure on one of them.

Saturday was back up for breakfast and then back to the festival. Today it ran a little longer and we made it all day again 11-7. After the beer we hit the sports book to bet the hockey game and watched our bets finally come through on the 2 goal victory. Only drank until midnight for our early morning. Drove back to Oregon and now a long day of sleeping and resting for mew and the Mrs. upcoming Vegas vacation.

So in closing lost around 3k on gambling and was actually quite impressed with the downtown area of Reno. The rest of the town is all shuttered up and really quite depressing. I would though come back again mainly for next years beer festival. Never made it over to the bowling area but there was a big tournament going on from all of the bowling bags I saw everywhere.

Well thanks for the read and maybe on my next go round Ill figure out how to make this a little smoother.

I was in Reno from 6/9-6/13 for the women's bowling tournament at the convention center. We stayed at Atlantis.
The men are bowling at the bowling center near the Silver Legacy. I prefer staying there as there are moore options. Cal-Neva is known for some good cheap food options in their restaurants.

It's always fun to read a Reno trip report.

We were at the Cal-Neva last year and were sitting at the bar playing VP. The cocktail waitress serving the table players came up to the bar to get her orders filled. One bartender looks at the other bartender and says for him to fill her orders this time as she (the first bartender) wants to finish her beer first. She stood there talking to us with a can of beer in her hand and got back to work when it was finished.

We go sit at another bar later and the cocktail waitress again comes to fill her orders. While she's waiting, she passes over her coffee cup to the bartender and asks for a fill. Bartender grabs a bottle of vodka and tops up the cocktail waitress's styrofoam cup.

They probably have no problem finding employees with those perks but it's a wonder they're still in business!

Even though downtown has all the flashy lights, it still looks drab to me. I go to the Atlantis about once a month. Dealers are great, games are fair, and the food is better than average. Oh, and they comp Glenlivet. They even have 18 Macallan on the 50% off happy hour menu.

Only reason I leave there is to get huevos rancheros at Peg's downtown.

I ordered the 2 lb burrito and the waiter tells me to not get chicken tonight. I laughed and ended up with gut rot the next day from the beef. Went into the sienna as well for there buy one get one sushi buffet. I honestly can say it was pretty Damn good. Especially after all of the sake.

I went to reno being hesitant but I actually had a really good time for the 3 night's. Will go again later in life.

Glad you had a good time..but personally, I gave my suite away for the BBBBQ festival, as I personally hate that event (too many drunk idiots).
