    Trips to Las Vegas:

    My Trip Report

    Hey all,

Trip report virgin here so be gentle or as Homer Simpson said once on the Simpsons "It's my first day!." My girlfriend and I have gone to Vegas about 9 times now. We have been together 4 years and this year we have made it out to LV three times. I love Las Vegas so the more trips the better. It's like gambling Christmas.

    Day one Part one

For this trip we had a comped 3 night stay at the Flamingo courtesy of all of our slot play at Harrah's Rincon In San Diego and our Total Rewards points. The first thing we did as we got into Nevada was head to Summerlin for a delicious breakfast over at BabyStacks cafe. BabyStacks had the best pancakes I have ever had! The rocky road pancake was a chocolate-marshmallow explosion. Since I got the combo I also had garlic fried rice which was better than I hoped for and two eggs over easy. To top it off the meal came with mouth watering bacon. My girlfriend ordered white chocolate macademia nut pancakes which were also wonderful. After stuffing ourselves into a carb coma we headed out to Red Rock.

My girlfriend and I have only been to Red Rock twice but both times we have come away very impressed. I love the red lighting in there and they always have all the newest slots. The gf loves playing slots and was excited they had the new Gone With the Wind slot. I would describe our level of play as limbo level rollers as we play low, low, and lower. Nickel slots are usually too rich for our blood.

My gf hit one bonus when she hit Scarlett on the first line and Rhett on the last line. She was doing ok on the bonus until that no good Ashley popped up. Our 100 dollar bonus wins were dashed and she won like 5 dollars on the bonus. She kept playing till she dropped 20 bucks. So far so bad.

We kept playing other slots at Red Rock and were duplicating our non success. Our beloved Sex In the City slot that we do quite well on at Harrahs Rincon chewed up 40 bucks faster than Mr. Ed on uppers. I put ten bucks in this game that featured a bunch of cartoon superheroes and hit the bonus for a solid ten dollar win. After dropping 60 dollars between us, we decided to start the first leg of trying out casinos we had never gone to. All aboard to the first stop of Sun Coast casino.

We head down the lobby of Sun Coast into the casino and my girlfriend immediately sits down at the Twilight Zone penny slot. She pops in a 20 and immediately hits a bonus. This time the bonus is kind to us and she hits for 40 bucks. Score one for the old school machines. She loses another ten for a thirty dollar profit and we decide to check out the Superman slot.

I pop in a twenty on Superman and hit two different bonuses. Nice. Superman was never my favorite movie Super hero but I think he just passed Aquaman. Just kidding nobody likes Aquaman. I leave the Super man Slot twenty dollars richer. After that up 50 dollars between us in Sun Coast we play a bunch of slots that I don't remember because we got crushed. I suppose only remembering the wins makes me a positive person and also someone who should not be gambling a large amount. We give back our 50 dollar profit like it was a hot potato and break even.

Part two of day one to come shortly: The Strip beckons.

    Trips to Las Vegas:
Perhaps a more appropriate Homer quote for Vegas: "You'll have to speak up, I'm wearing a towel"
