    My Trip Report

Sorry for the late report, but I have been really busy with work so here it goes.

Arrived at The Fitz at 9:30 and was unable to check in. Room was being occupied by Fitz Board of Directors member. Was told to check back lat noon. Checked bags at bell desk. Headed to Vue bar for our ceremonial shot of patron. Threw back a few beers while I was there. Noon came and my room wasn't ready yet. Lady decided to stay until 4pm. 5pm hits and I tried again. No luck. I was put in a regular room while my suite was being cleaned. Was told to come back in 1 hour and the room will be ready for me to occupy. 6pm and nothing. Now I'm really buzzed and pissed. I was told that a manager would call me when the room was ready. 7:45 rolls around and my phone rings. It's the manager. She gives me some song and dance about the board member staying longer than she should have. I told her that another suite should have been given to me instead of leaving me hanging for most of the day. I did manage to get my room and some meals comped. She did handle it pretty well after I let her know that it wasn't OK to leave a customer hanging.

    OK, now onto my evening.

We hit the blackjack tables at The Fitz for a few hours. I walked away with 100 bucks extra while my friends lost a little. We then headed to The Plaza for some BJ and Let It Ride. I took my 100 bucks that I won and turned it into 700 at LIR. 2am rolls around and we are wasted and hungry. Walked over to Mamacita's for some Mexican food that was off the hizzook! Crashed by 3:30am.

Saturday morning we head back to Mamacita's for some fresh homemade menudo. Oops, forgot to mention our trip to the outlet mall for some purse shopping for the wife. Got her a nice Coach purse for her birthday. OK, after breakfast, we headed to the El Co for some gaming and bloody mary's. Drinks were great and the gaming was even better. Played some DDB VP in the back room and hit 4 aces w/kicker for 500 bucks. The lady next to me had just hit a quad and mentioned to me that I haven't hit a quad since I have been there. I then told her "all I want is 4 aces" and then BAM! I got them. She was excited for me, which is unusual since most older folks hate when you hit something that they want. After getting my 500 bucks hand payed, I ran my credits up to 800 and cashed out. I handed the nice lady 20 bucks for being so nice to me. Went back to The Fitz to get ready and have a few beers. 4pm comes and we head to The MGM Grand for some pregame drink at Diego. threw back a few pitchers of margarita's and then headed into the Grand Garden Arena for some preseason NHL action between the Kings and the Avalanche. Av's won in a shootout. Good game with lots of hits, fights and scrums. Exited the arena for some hooker watching in the casino. I have never seen so many hookers in one place. They were everywhere. Anyway, back to The Fitz for some more drinking and gaming. Dumped a 100 bucks into a bar top machine and hung out until 4am before heading to bed. Cashed out at 400 bucks.

7am and we are up and ready to head home. Stopped at Terrible's at state line for the worst breakfast ever. Got home by noon and hung out with my wife and kids.

Not the most exciting weekend but I had a wonderful time and won some money in the process.

Exciting or not it was a Vegas weekend and as you say you won some money and you saw a good hockey game. If you wanted exciting you shoulda started pimp slapping some of the hookers at the MGM.

Thanks for the post about your weekend in Vegas. As other have said, "must be nice to live within driving distance." Congrats on the nice VP wins.

I met him and his son at a Ducks game a few years back. They also frequent Kings games. He is a very nice guy and will stand there and shoot the breeze with you.
