    My Trip Report

    Day 1: Friday

Alas, the summer of my discontent continued through weather so foul as to deter even the most ardent of golfers and tanners. Chicago had become the city of broad clouds and daily rains. Much like Al Capone before me, an “Escape from Alcatraz†was on my mind as July drew to a close.

I gathered my trusty satchel, filled it with Tiger Woods dry fit shorts, pants, and shirts AKA “The Regular Guy†look from the Rodney Dangerfield classic “Easy Moneyâ€, and prepared to fully test the expandability of the waistbands….I would not be “just browsing†on this trip.

Reservations had been made as follows:

Encore, RFB, Resort Q/Q for 3 nights
Bellagio, Room Comp with $500 in freeplay

The Encore surprised me after my prior visit of 120% comping by extending one final olive branch, so I grabbed it. The Bellagio required a meeting of their VP of slots and VP of table games, along with god and the G-8 to approve my $500 promo chip being changed over to freeplay.

So I was off, narrowly avoiding the begging Santa Claus in the middle of Cicero Avenue traffic, dodging the numerous used car lots, rib tip shops, barred window liquor stores, etc as I made my way through the west side projects to Midway.

Arrival was standard, except the ticket agent didn’t give me a boarding pass, IDGIT, and I didn’t notice until I was in the security line, so I popped back up and grabbed a copy thru the automated kiosk.

I was quickly through security, and securely parked my a$$ at the mini-Millers pub where I began the day at noonish somewhere with a Bacardi diet. Around the time I finished one of my cohorts in crime, Frosty Sprinkles texted that she was successfully disembarking public transportation intact and would be there soon.

I ordered a second Bacardi diet and a white wine, kicking out the kids who stole my spot upon my return. I took this time to sip my drink, watch The Hangover on my phone, and take stock of $2,700 in the wallet along with enough backup plans to make a WWII general roll over in his grave.

Sip….sip….where the H—E---double hockey sticks is this Beeeeeoootch, I’m a guzzler not a sipper gol darnit!!!

Soon enough my buddy arrives and we have time for one more round before boarding. Once on SWA we quickly go thru the 8 drink tickets I had accumulated and basically smack talked the whole way there….seemed like about a 5 minute flight.

We disembark at LAS and grab our luggage then head up to the Nascar bar to wait for Creamy Sprinkles to arrive about 45 min later. The bartender lady at this place was a PEACH…..actually more of a PEEOTCH. She was very official about everything and pushing those doubles like a set of breached twin 10 pounders….and don’t forget the side shot for $4!!!

We were too drunk to polish off what we ordered and soon enough our buddy arrived and we hit the brown suit Wynn-man downstairs and were climbing into our lovely Rolls Royce Phantom for the ride over to Encore.

Arrive to the usual fanfare, tip the driver and take our own luggage this time. Quick check-in and we drop our stuff off in the room, at this point our other members are not yet here so we have a few hours to burn before 10pm dinner at Botero.

We start off with a quick cocktail in the RFB Invited Guest lounge at the Encore Tower Suites, I decided to try a little VSOP to the side of my Ketel-7. Not bad, should keep a bottle of that in my car in case I ever run out of gas!

Ok so properly lubed, the ladies and I head over for my Bellagio check-in. That went quickly, no line at the players club to get my free-play activated. Of course nothing can run smoothly at Bellagio---the lady claims initially that I had already used my promo free play.

    HUH?

Jane, you stupid ignorant $lut, I just got off the f’n flippin f’n plane and checked in 30 seconds ago, looks like Bellagio hired another graduate of the Southern Nevada School of Socially Moronic Behavior. And this $kank didn’t just have her bachelors.

Eventually logic gave in to MGM-Mirage 5 priniciples of piss poor public service, so I got my credit loaded.

I was glad because I would have hated the roundtable meeting of the VP of Table Games, the VP of Slots, the CEO of MGM-Mirage, the Duke of Wellington, the Shiek, and Douchebanks due diligence all of which was required for me to change from promo chips to freeplay to have been a WASTE!!!

So we moseyed over to Fontana Bar to play but they had some velveteen ropes up for apparently an upcoming velveteen rabbit VP tournament….great….then I remembered those machines at a bar where I played with Gaggles so we headed over there.

This turned out to be a good move, because not only did the ladies get drinks, and I got to enjoy my freeplay in style, but I also got to meet two very workable Russian/Latvian L.A. hookers and start my vegas trip off $500 and a few inches UP, if you know what I mean! ;). The funny thing is after this, every time me and my about to arrive buddy Big Dog went off to gamble on our own, the Frosty girls accused us of hooking up with those hookers in the xtra room at Bellagio! HAHA. I wish, but unfortunately I am not a dude who can sleep with a guily conscience….shoot I can barely sleep anyway cause I am too busy planning Vegas trips, chatting on these boards, and of course, seeking the holy grail (a 300 game on Wii Bowling!).

Ok so we got our hooker/VP groove on at Bellagio and hit the cab line back for Encore. FYI, on this trip no lines for cabs, never more than one group in front of us at any given point, usually no one at all. In contrast, I have NEVER seen the inside of Wynn more crowded. We spent most of our time at Encore, ventured out for two meals at Wynn and each time I appreciated the slight separation allowed by Encore for the masses. It isn’t that far a walk or scooter ride, or cab ride as people always complain about.

Once back at Encore we headed up to change for dinner and continue unpacking, soon enough Big Dog called and I headed down to meet him. We got him and his stuff back up to the room and it was nearing 10pm so we headed down to Botero.

Despite our reservation for 10pm, we got in about 10:20 due to the big crowd at Botero. We were given a nice table on the outside ring of the indoor area with a nice view of the excess club activities, which included a light-shrouded stage dancer—very cool!

Big Dog having arrived later than us, made haste to catch up, from an alcohol standpoint—to say the LEAST!!! After a few Sapphire-Tonics we enjoyed the appetizers like old friends rather than a bunch of people who just randomly met at the airport over a conversation focused on a$$-less chaps. The third girl had to work so it was just the 4 of us for tonight.

So for an appetizer I had I think a 2 or 3 soup sampler, the ladies had a caprese salad, like a bunch of tomatoes and stuff in oil dressing. The corn soup was awesome. For entrees Big Dog and I each had the 12 oz. filet MR with the crab meat add-on. The girls had the bone-in ribeye and a scallop dish. Sides included truffle cream corn, tater tots, creamed spinach, and an au gratin potato side. We all shared bites and everything was incredible. By the end of dinner Big Dog and Beeejay had gotten quite drunk and silly and somehow the restaurant was empty and Big Dog was tossing tater tots into the air and catching in his mouth---FANCY---good thing they have that “resort casual†dress code!

Now after dinner is where things really heated up. I can’t remember a whole helluva lotta detail, except stumbling around and drinking and hitting 4 aces on the $60 a spin $1 supertimespay 10-play for $800 and taking that to roulette. The girls were betting $5 chips on a $15 minimum table so playing 3 numbers inside and they each hit one on their first spin and basically cashed the profits. I bought in $1,000, half nickels/half quarters and I believe the 4 spins we played came 28-2-0-17---all number I play (I play 13 numbers) and more importantly what I call PREMIUM numbers (I play MUCH more on 17-20-32-0-00-2-2. So within the first hour of play I was up $4,000.

Basically hit 3 nickels on that first spin, 5 nickels with a half-quarter on the second spin, and the last two spins had nickels and quarters mixed straight up on the numbers. I up my bets as I win and usually start at $200 a spin and can get up to $500, sometime even higher when a go “black inside†which did happen on this trip and did hit for a half on a 17-20 split, but that was later in the trip.

So after our wins we were ready to do something different, the girls decided to hit XS and Big Dog and I decided to make a run down to Slots-A-Fun and look for Prez.

The last thing I remember from this night was getting a text that said: “Cum home boys we are watching pornâ€, then stumbling into the room and passing out fully clothed, in dress shoes from dinner, face down on the L-shaped couch.

    Day 2: Saturday

Ok so now I wake up fully clothed, with full on cotton mouth…..check the mini-fridge (which they NEVER restocked during our stay) and all the diet cokes and waters are long gone. So I throw a hat on and head downstairs for a cig and some DC and agua.

Thanks to the RFB lounge I grab a diet coke and a water, head out to sit at that bar up front on the corner nearest Sinatra. The dude asks me if I need a third drink…haha. Enjoy my drinks, a smoke, and thanks to a quick 4 OAK on $1 DB I am paid $200 to for my efforts.

Back up to the room, try to sleep, can’t everyone else out cold and room is black so I’m tripping over various items. Decide to take a shower and head down to tables for a bit. This is where I got pretty much to the height of my progress after losing $500 on BJ, $500 on Craps, I hit the exact same sequence of numbers on roulette, albeit with lower bets and at the end of this early am session it was around 10am and I had booked a $5,500 profit to date for the trip.

Back up to the room and we hustle out to the pool by 11, most seats taken but some nice ladies offer us a couple extras from their early bird friends who are done, great spot right on the corner by XS. Plenty of cocktail waitress traffic, as well as TALENT.

Played a little BJ, got a back of stoges, lost maybe $200. We had a number of adult beverages, and I had the bartender mix up a special strawberry mojito with cherries for the big dog. It tasted like a thistle. The girls were doing electric lemonades. As usual after a few drinks I broke into heavy smack talk mode.

There was a dude who looked sorta like Matthew McConaughy but more like Bradley Cooper. I drug Creamy Sprinkles over there and told him she wanted to hear him say “That’s what I like about those high school girls man, I get older, they stay the same ageâ€. Of course when I told him that line I had said it so perfectly no one could compete. Of course I am a fat old man so who cares. I figured that would keep her busy for a while but no dice she was back soon enough. Apparantly homie didn’t have the game to match his looks.

Anywho we put in about 3 solid hours of pool time before heading off to meet Creamy Sprinkles work buddy for lunch. We got a table and met him at Society Café. He actually didn’t make it in until we were about done. In the meantime we ordered some tasty appetizers---meatballs, calamari, and mini chicken wings. For meals I have no clue what everyone else had. Big Dog was totally cashed and took his burger back to the room. I had the sloppy joe sliders which totally rocked. We stayed for another drink when CS work buddy arrived, then they headed to pool while I headed up to check on Big Dog.

Well I was pretty cashed so I crashed for a while as well knowing a full night was ahead of us meeting more friends for dinner at Okada and then of course a night on the town.

The girls came back and everyone got ready around 7:30 for the 8:30 Okada reservation. During this time the girls blew up our inflatable tiger while Big Dog was sleeping. When it was finally his turn to use the shower, I made him watch a little of The Hangover on my phone first so he got the joke when the tiger was in the shower. Very funny stuff!

So the girls prepped us on their friend we were meeting, but despite what they said she was super sweet along with of course being really hot. She was already at Okada and they had our table for 5 set up right by the water, a great view of the waterfall, and not an overly hot day by any means. Still the table actually out on the lake was not in use that night.

The five of us sat down and were greeted by a very efficient and friendly asian female server who would end up taking great care of us all night. We started with the Okada roll, a nice saki, a round of Saparro’s, and Big Dog and I each triple-fisted it with a cocktail.

For the main course I ordered 5 ounces of Japanese Kobe medium rare, everyone else ordered various rolls. We all shared and everything was fantastic. We had a great conversation and the girls caught up on some college memories, which were a lot fresher for them than for me and the Big Dog (by about 15 yrs haha).

We enjoyed a tasty chocolate dessert that the new friend and I insisted on over the protests of the painfully full. We got some great pics by the lake and headed out.

Now while we were leaving Okada I got to witness an INSANE line at Tryst. I mean that thing was looooooong. I can’t imagine dealing with that crap to pay hundreds of bucks to hang out with a bunch of 22 yr old LA punks who raced their rice burners thru the dessert after work at Target to blow their 2-week paycheck on the off chance some whhhoooore might get drunk and pick them over the athlete, dj, actor, or other money-burning flavor of the week. I actually felt sorry for those dudes.

We popped back over to the Encore RFB lounge for an after dinner drink and some great convo and met some folks from Atlanta who we had a blast rapping with. Anyway the group of gals had never seen Palazzo and after stuffing ourselves a quick walk sounded good. I talked ‘em all into an outside walk to avoid that freakshow of lines caused by XS, the theatres, and whatever the hell else was going on at Wynn.

So we walked outside and wouldn’t you know it some poor sap was being cuffed by security, soooo classy folk that we are we got a nice pick of hot blonde Creamy Sprinkles with the whole shenanigans in the background.

We walked outside until we came upon a group on drunken bachelorette party gals, with one nice tall hottie who wouldn’t make for a bad climb. I convinced her Big Dog had been a very, very Baddddd boy and so she gave him a nice spanking, again got some good pics of that!

We made it into the Palazzo and played a little roulette at that table with the felt that lights up under the winning numbers. That was down, but then back up so we decided to take our small profit and tour the hotel a bit. The Palazzo is a beautiful place and everyone really enjoyed it. I am torn between two lovers when it comes to Palazzo and Encore, so I just switch back and forth. I’ll be at the Palazzo two weeks from today.

At this point the girls were ready to hit XS, their friend had to work so she was audi, and Big Dog and I had our Viagra ready to bet at Prez’ table down at Slots-A-Fun. So we jumped in a cab, dropped them at Encore, and had him take us to Slots.

We stepped right into the new “Slots-A-Fun at Circus Circus†and checked things out. For those who aren’t aware, MGM-Mirage in their infinite wisdom has decided to “debrand†probably their most profitable enterprise on a percentage of investment basis.

Now if this involved any ACTUAL changes at Slots I’d be pissed. In reality they have simply taken a bunch of old machines out, replaced the felt on the games, changed out the old chips to Circus Circus chips, and overall improved the place---although the old carpet remains.

We have plenty of slots chips in our coffers so no worries about adding those to the collecion’. We played a little blackjack while we looked for Prez.

This gave us an opportunity to practice betting our Viagra pill. This wasn’t taken to kindly by the lady who threw it behind her in the pit on the floor. They were actually paying 3/2 on this BJ game it seemed though so who is to complain. We had some fun talking smack with these 4 LA dudes who were pretending they had German accents to pick up chicks. They were REALLY good!

After I while we didn’t see him, and asked the pit boss. He directed us to a three-card poker table at Circus Circus. He was kind enough to return our Viagra pill so we cashed out our meager profits and were off to the Big Top!

It didn’t take long to find Prez and there were soon openings at his three-card poker table, a game we had never played. In the way of a little background, Big Dog and I have been seeing Prez in Vegas for the last 19 years since we turned 21. We always have a great time at his tables, like last August when Money hit a soft 21 and Prez remarked it was “…hard finding good white help these days…â€. He is an African-American dealer, age 78, who loves sexual harassment, player harassment, and Viagra jokes. He also has an interesting twitchy gait to his dealing style which is downright hilarious!

So this place is smokey and depressing as hell, and this game is stupid and boring. I am playing $5 in all 3 spots, lose, lose, lose. Finally someone on the end leaves and I move down to avoid all these fat stinky chicks.

I start playing $25 a spot, then $50, then $75. getting enough to basically stay even, maybe a slow bleed. I am in for $500. Then we decide to bet the Viagra. HAHA.

Prez is like, “you don’t want to see me take this!â€

“you’ll see me have an orgasm and a heart attack at the same timeâ€

“no one wants to see an old black man coming while hes goingâ€

He continued on with the jokes until it was time for his break:

“I’ll be back in 20 minutes, time for me to go smoke another jointâ€

As always, hilarious material, and wish I could remember more of it. Anyway, while he was gone I decided to play out the money. Big Dog had lost his $100 buy-in and I was down to maybe $250. Switching between $50 and $75 a spot. Big Dog went out when his flush lost to a straight which we found ODD to say the least. I get it now though.

Ok so I get dealt K-Spades, Q-Spades, J-Hearts or something like that. DAMN sooo close to that 40-1 straight flush that would have paid huuuuuge, but anyway still a decent hit of $675 which leaves me up for this idiotic game. We had to wait while they called “upstairs†do to the over $500 payout----WTF? I guess that the Circus Act for ya.

Too tired to walk so we cabbed it back to Encore and the ladies told us all about their night at SW, they got into VIP with some dudes, etc etc. Of course they accused us of hooking up with professionals over in the Bellagio backup room. Ha.

Thankfully they had room service leftovers cause we were starving. I must have been pretty drunk as I was trying to dip a chicken tender into BBQ sauce but thought the top had sort of jelled over and kept trying. Actually it still had saran-wrap on it. Jeez duuude….better hit the hay. So I went over to the couch, fully clothed, tightened my chastity belt, ignored the hot naked girls, and Amateur Night 2 Porn PPV on the TV and passed out to dreams of wives, children, barking dogs, and white picket fences. Brooklyn Bridge available CHEAP.

only thru day 2 so far.....let me know if you want anymore , this one is kinda boring

    here is the rest :

    Day 3: Sunday

Woke up feeling a lot better Sun AM than Sat, could that just be the body adjusting to alcoholism? Hopefully!

(yes I just watched “Leaving Las Vegas†a few days before the trip, and yes I drank about 1/3 bottle of Grey Goose while watching---really the only way to do it!)

As we had gotten really lucky to get seats together at the pool Saturday, and we wanted similar seating today, Big Dog and I made haste down to the pool around 9:30 to snag those same spots. Good thing we didn’t wait for the gals cause by the time they arrived at 10am it was slim pickens.

The cocktail waitress was making her first visit of the morning when the Sprinkles sisters arrived, they had coffee in hand, but Big Dog ordered one, and not being one to succumb to peer pressure I started the day with a double goose-red bull. That first drink was tough but the rest of the day was NOT! Haha.

So the girls had been thoughtful enough to bring Le Tigre down to the pool, and additionally had the foresight to motorize him using the “His and Hers Couples Vibrating Pleasure Ring†from the adult entertainment kit in the room. (Not comped, with tax FYI).

Gambling at the pool doesn’t kick in until 11am so I hung out in the chair and pool for a while. It was actually pretty toasty today. We had the girls friends coming to meet us at the pool, along with another buddy so we had to keep it mildly respectable, at least long enough to let them in. For whatever reason we seem to miss phone calls and texts at the pool and let our friends wander around for hours inside Encore.

So once everyone had finally arrived and gotten semi-settled in, things got really out of hand as the ladies decided we all needed shots. The memories are fuzzy, but I remember they had trouble deciding on a shot, and looking around the European Pool, the suggestion popped into my head “How about a Slippery Nipple!â€. This went over well.

After a few too many cocktail I departed for the washroom, and upon my return I was presented my shot, in Creamy Sprinkles belly button (see my new Avatar). I was like, uh no thanks, but then a little egging on and I was all over it. Exciting just to think about, because she is one VERY hot girl!

If I had to pick one highlight of the trip, it would probably be hitting big on the 4 roulette spins to start, but if I had to pick TWO----the Creamy Spinkles Slippery Nipple body shots would definitely have to be up there!

I really kind just want to drink everything out of her belly button going forward, but that’s a personal issue between me and my therapist.

    Onward we shall press….

So I was definitely getting pretty damn wasted and thinking I need some food, probably around 1 o’clock we all leave our stuff spread out and head over to Society Café. We get right in with our STAR on the red cards past a pretty decent line into a big 8-top table.

This is all a very fuzzy memory, I know I got the sloppy joe sliders and they went down sloppier than yesterday cause I was one WHOLE HELLUVA a lot SLOPPIER today! I think I was even drunk enough to eat the pickles, except one which I tossed straight and true, and it landed with a thump and stuck right in Creamy Sprinkles cleavage!

The Pickle toss was a source of pride due to my drunkenness and its accuracy. According to the photo record it was replaced with a pretzel stick among other items which enjoyed being held in that place of honor. Also apparently there was a spate of lap sitting photos, so I hope I still had that roll of Certs in my pocket!

Anyway we eventually made it back out to the pool where things were getting a bit more raucous. We sent out friendly Tiger out on some expeditions, the best of which was when he floated over to the hands down Best in Pool “bignaturals.com†Girl of the Month, who proceeded to give the poor fella a FULL motorboating treatment. Now I am getting jealous.

This girl was STACKED to the bejesus, but she also had a cute little skinny friend who was perky and georgous. Good thing these suits are baggy these days, a Speedo would not have been good.

After our time in the pool, we hung out at the bar in the back of the Euro pool area at Encore and basically closed the thing down around 6:30pm. Big Dog had to take off to get back over to McCarren for his flight to Phoenix. Amazing that dude enjoyed this whole crazy weekend without missing any work, out after work Fri, back sun night. It seemed like we had been here a week!

Big Dog and I hit up one last bit of blackjack, he wanted to play $10 so we had to hit a 6/5 table which chaffed me. No BJ’s though and won some and got to see my favorite pit boss, Jodi, so it was well worth it.

Big Dog on his way and after a shower it was time for me and the 3 ladies to hit SW for dinner. We said our goodbyes and I exchanged business cards with the other buddies we had met (they work in the industry and offered to repay my comp drink and food sharing hospitality with some access to various difficult to get into functions).

So we head over to SW, I end up meeting the gals there about a half hour late. Actually they were a little late and missed me sitting at the corner BJ table in Encore by the Esplanade to Wynn playing with one of my favorite beautiful blonde and very intelligent great conversationalist dealers. Of course the yellow chip I left with my have effected my opinion of her! Haha.

Anyway dinner at SW was interesting. It’s the first time I’ve ever sat inside. Oh yeah, and the girls brought the Tiger to dinner! This place is a little stuffy for that sort of thing. I am pretty sure that is what I don’t like about it. We had a blast at Botero, but this place…just a little more tense. The waiters all seem to have a corn cob up their a$$e$.

Anyway we drank it up nicely, AGAIN…..and started off with soups, salads, and the seafood tower. The crab was mostly claws which were literally impossible to open without a hammer, which I had forgotten in the room. The rest was good though. I had the 12 oz filet with crab, the girls had a bone in ribeye and a couple seafood dishes.

The funniest part was Creamy sprinkles was TOTALLY wasted. She kept asking the server to massage her back. It was funny, he was actually cool after that. Its hard to be so straight-laced when you have a hot girl asking you to rub her! Haha.

So anyway she starts just saying the saaaame thing over and over…..

    “Helloâ€
    “How about that ride inâ€
“I guess that’s why they call it Sin City!â€
    “hahaâ€

Some people may recognize this as the beginning of Alan’s “One Man Wolfpack†toast from The Hangover. Apparantly my giving this toast at each meal had rubbed off on her. She couldn’t make it into the wolfpack part though, and thankfully cause she probably would have cut her hand with the steak nice---BLOOD BROTHERS!!!!

My filet here was very blah. Flavorless compared to the past and I shared Frosty Sprinkles bone-in-ribeye which was faaar better. We also had the usual sides, tater tots, truffle corn, etc.

After dinner the check was slow so I sent the girls on their way as I signed for yet another $500+ meal. I believe this one was $525 with tip (Okada was $750+$150 tip=$900, Botero was about the same as SW).

The big mistake I made was letting the girls leave me in the casino as I stopped by a few roulette tables, craps tables, BJ tables and blew some cash. I hit some 4 OAK on VP at Encore to get a little back but I’m sure I blew $1,500 net that night.

Finally back to the room and everyone is basically cashed out from the non-stop partying and absolutely full 9-6 day at the pool. Not much action after that, crashed and called it a night.

    Day 4: Monday

Woke up around 9 to help creamy sprinkles on her way. We decided it would be our last chance to hit the buffet so we did but weren’t hungry enough to do more than pick at one plate. And somehow they were out of diet coke! Deal killer for me at this point in the morning!

Frosty and I had a few hours left and hung out and watched Paul Blart and Marley and Me. I played just a little VP and won some of my losses back from last night, then headed to see my host and then check-out. Most items had been comped---far more than my play deserved---only because it was upfront RFB. We had of course a bunch of tips on the bill, but the gals had given me cash for that. Part of the last two meals were not comped.

Around 1:30 we finally actually left the room, hopped in the limo and headed out for a lite lunch at the airport before our flight.

In the end, after tips, parking and absolutely everything I came home with $2,603 more than I left with so I have to say it was one DAMN good trip. Weirdly it felt a little like a loss as I had been up $5,500 at one point. So I can’t stop telling myself I COULD have $3K more, then again one shouldn’t really complain about a quick large early win and basically a free roll getting treated like a king with super hot and fun girls at one of the nicest properties in Vegas.

I would like to add a quick note about win-loss. It seems like I have been winning a LOT on my trips lately. Not a lot of money, but winning more often than the past. I’ve been to Vegas maybe 50-60 times since 1990. Of the first 45 trips I had maybe 2-3 winning trips, usually just lost it all. Now those bankrolls were $250-$1,000 so that could be part of it. Lately my bankrolls have been $3,000-$20,000. I have only booked one REALLY large win….but since have booked quite a few $2,500-$7,500 wins. I think the secret has been a large enough bankroll to ride out initial losing streaks, a hit and run approach, and a newfound ability to really cut back the stakes and frequency after locking in a big win.

I have begun to depend on the mentality of “trying to save the bankroll for next time†to help myself not blow the wad once I’m up early on a trip. It doesn’t always work, last summer at Bellagio I blew a $3K buy-in to $22,500 win to $0 cashout on roulette. But on this trip in particular, I was able to slow bleed myself to what would be considered a decent profit. I could have easily raised stakes, lost my winnings and get betting at that high level and blow $10K-$15K on this trip.

Probably as useless as any other ranting on bankroll, or money management, but going with a relatively large bankroll and locking in at least half a decent sized win by lowering play seems to be working for me for now at least.

In summary I was very happy with the treatment at Encore. I was fully expecting to get billed something as my goal was to completely use my comp balance. Surprisingly I am still able to get Encore room comp after this trip, the second just pounding the food and beverage with low play.

My next trip will be in a couple weeks with friends and sister to Palazzo. Encore is my favorite for many reasons, but I do prefer the slightly larger rooms and décor of Palazzo and the fold out couch, and I feel very little pressure to gamble there due to the lack of an actual host and the complete inability to get anything besides the room offers.

    Thanks for reading!

Great TR. I've gone back and read some of your recent ones. You do Vegas like it was meant to be done. For some reason, I picture you looking like Tony Soprano. :peace:
