so our trip on the 19th was starting to be in danger of being cancelled due to health issues but we're going to make it after all! Just got out of hospital from having Emerency gall bladder removal. Had several stones, the largest of them was slightly larger than a golf ball. Glad that its over and done with. Recovery time is expected to be about 7-10 days.

Glad to hear you're on your way to recovery! Just have to watch what type of intake you have from now on without the gall bladder. May your upcoming trip be a successful one!

I hope you have a speedy recovery from surgery. Just be careful so you don't spoil your trip.

Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery! Remember no heavy lifting or bending til healing complete - so when you win the big one, have someone help you carry it

Take it easy. A few years ago I had my gallbladder removed. Went home just a few hours later. Went to Walmart the next day. Got caught by the recovery room nurse- small town and I work at the hospital. She fussed at me-- I did not drive and in my mind the doctor told me to get up and move around. I felt fine and pushed my surgeon to sign off to go back to work in one week. I did and I regretted it. You should be good in 2-3 weeks.

I also had a cheeseburger the day I was released. Not recommended either.

Oh my goodness. One of the stones the size of a golf ball? Yikes.... My sister had to have hers removed and her stone was a bit bigger than a ping pong ball. She was in excruciating pain and the doctor said she could have died.

Glad you're o.k. and on the road to recovery. Take it easy in Vegas and have fun. Like a previous poster mentioned, don't lift heavy things. If you win a ton of money call us. I do have a hand truck. :wink2:

Hope you mend quickly. Sounds like good timing for a pamper yourself trip.
