Did you actually check for wifi? I stayed at NYNY in July and my lowly Park Ave room had it. I was on a high floor too, so it wasn't just wifi from the casino or lobby making its way up to my room.

I've stayed at a lot of MGM Properties in the past (Bellagio, Mirage, Aria) with my iPad and all I've ever done is go to my wi-fi settings and search for networks. None showed up. Should I have done something else?

    Nope. That should have worked.

Odd. I had read on here before that there was no wifi at NYNY, so I was pleasantly surprised when I got there and there was (I even had to enter my last name and room number, so it wasn't some stray signal).

And I never pursued it more. I had heard that the lower tier properties didn't have it, so I just figured that NY NY was one of them. I never tried again - maybe it was just down temporarily. I had my smartphone with me too so I wasn't completely cut off from the world.

Yikes. If someone is going to be that of a degen, they need to wear diapers.

I know it sounds so gross.. and honestly I avoid entering or even cutting thru Excaliber, I'm kind of a germaphobe so that place just freaks me out.
Serves as a reminder... always a take away, this board is a plethora of knowledge. :peace:

Josie - thanks so much for sharing. I don't dare travel to Las Vegas by myself.. Not due to fear of Vegas.. Fear of me never sleeping, slotting all night, and winning big, and betting bigger. I always travel with my hubby who is the expert money manager in our family. I make sure to tell him about larger wins.. and hand over most of it.. so I have to stick to my budget. (OK.. I don't mention any other wins.. and I do keep a secret stash for when I go belly up ;).

Heading out in 19 days..(not that I'm counting or anything) on Christmas Day.

that me chuckle out loud, as Im a germaphobe also, big time. Been to Vegas over 20 times now, but I've only to Excalibur twice. The first time we ate at the buffet for breakfast, and well , anyone who has ate there can see why the next visit to Excalibur was several years later....

Come on now - don't say that. I basically told myself that it WASN'T that - but that someone had spilled a drink on the chair. Don't spoil my delusion!

Thanks MNVegas - it's kind of funny, because your description of what you would fear without going with your husband - kind of sounds like my trip :)

Have a great trip! Getting out of this crappy MN weather can only be a good thing.
