Well now if that thread title wasn't super confusing...

My wife and I are planning a weekend getaway to Cleveland where we are going to spend some time at the Caesar's Horseshoe . None of the Ohio casinos have hotels operated by the casino companies, however Total Rewards enables you to book nearby hotels through their website. We booked the Ritz, and got a reduced rate with our TR # (which went down even more when I added my wife's). The deposit they charged reads "Rock Ohio Caesars" not Ritz Carlton.

My question is, does anyone know if we will receive TR points for this booking since we did it through TR (*and it appears TR is the one billing us)? We've since discovered a lower rate at a different downtown (but still close) hotel through a third party, but we would rather keep this reservation if we'll earn points for it, especially if we also earn points for room charges, etc.

Thanks if anyone has any information or experience with this.

If booked through the casino, you MIGHT be able to get it comped back. Maybe, maybe not.

Any points you MIGHT earn are not tier points, only RC points. You have to decide if that is worth much.
