We stayed at Bally's for 2 nights, then on to the Las Vegas Hilton followed by our last night at Excalibur on the strip! In hindsight, it was a lot of moving around, packing up bags and cabs but FUN!

Thursday March 19th - Day before our trip, we had a huge list of last minute things to do! I had my nails done, finished packing, put our 4 children to bed, did groceries and then a run to shoppers drug mart for sinutab since I still had a cold. Went to bed about 1am *yawn* Are you kidding, I couldn't sleep - I was going away with my husband and we haven't been alone since DS was born 9 years ago!

Friday March 20th - Woke up at 5am and lugged everything downstairs and into our friends van! He drove fast so we were there by 6am, checking in at YYZ! Customs and security was super fast and then we headed to Tim Hortons to get our wake-up! We relaxed and waited to board - my husband was super excited (and a little nervous) because he's never been on a plane. Before we knew it we were on-board and on our way to VEGAS!!

We arrived there at 10:30am - to wonderful 27 degree weather!! There was no line for a taxi and we were at Bally's minutes later!! However, this was a huge NCAA weekend, so our room wasn't ready - so we had to check our bags and walk the strip for a bit! We decided to have lunch and then went to Bills for their $1 margaritas - a little too strong for Gary's style so I drank both *hiccup* By then it was 1pm, we decided to go try our luck checking in - our room was ready, after a quick shower we decided to have a nap, we were both exhausted! We woke up about 5pm and went in search of more food and some liquor to bring back to our room! Ended up at Stage West just behind Bills - great prices on bottles and mixers!!

We went back, put liquor on ice and tested various ones to make sure they tasted just fine (see a theme, we had plenty to drink this week! Even if I don't say "we had a drink" we probably DID!) and then headed over to Planet Hollywood where we were meeting a friend of mine for drinks @ Fat Tuesday's. We were a bit early so we walked around Miracle Mile checking out the stores before getting our drink on!! After that we headed back to Bally's since our friends would soon be arriving from Toronto, we had to make sure the beer was properly chilled!!

Once they got in and dropped their bags, we (had some drinks) and headed back out to the strip in search of more food (Burger King) and gambling! We walked up towards Harrah's popping in all the casinos along the way - checked out Carnival Court and the huge lineup and then walked back down. By then it was 2am, 5am Toronto time so we headed to bed!!

    Saturday March 21st
Woke up around 9am and headed out to check out Vegas during the day! Walked around Bally's and then up to the Bellagio, beautiful. Loved the conservatory - amazing flowers! Didn't get to see the fountains since they were being worked on so we headed over to Planet Hollywood to get our players card. We gambled some money away and then headed back to Bally's to drop off our goods. We were meeting friends for lunch @ the Cheesecake Factory in Caesars so we left with plenty of time to get there. Good thing because it took forever to get through the casino, it was SO busy!

Lunch was super, my Passion girls were there along with some Passion Sistas! It was a great way to start off the week!! We had rented a car from Hertz so we had to head back to Bally's to grab it, while waiting I popped $20 into penny slots and walked away with $50!! Score! We took the car and drove over to the Hilton to see some friends. We gambled and won another $100 on slots!! After a quick drive up the strip we went to a dive bar just off the strip for $2 hot dogs and beer, now that's Vegas! By this point I was exhausted and tipsy so headed back to the room, DH went and gambled away some money while I was in lala land! If you can't tell already - we're not big gamblers but found we won enough every day to not dip into what we brought with us!

    Sunday March 22nd
Today was moving day so we were up early re-packing our goods! We took everything out to the rental car and then had breakfast at LeVillage Buffet in Paris. Stopped to get directions and then headed to Target to get food/pop for the rest of the week. Hilton's system was down so we couldn't check in, so we stored our stuff in a friends room so the rental could be returned. Once unloaded, we could check in and then moved everything to our new home for the week!

The rest of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday was full of "work" - won't bore you with those details. Just imagine 1200 Adult Toy sales-divas in Vegas :wink2:

Tuesday evening - finally some time "off"

We took a taxi down to the strip to go for dinner! After walking around and then winning $100 on more penny slots we ended up at Grand Lux in the Venetian! Lovely dinner, super drinks and wasn't bad on price either! We walked up the strip checking out the Sirens show and then into the Wynn - lovely! Taxi back to the Hilton and then we gambled some more!! I tried not to stay up too late these evenings because 8am came early!

    Excalibur!

Thursday morning we checked out of the Hilton and took a taxi down to Excalibur! Again it was super busy there, so we had to check our luggage and went to have lunch. After that we checked back and our room was ready! We unloaded, freshened up and headed out to the strip!! We went down to Mandalay Bay, explored and then took the tram up to New York, New York where we stopped at Coyote Ugly for some drinks!
After that we walked up the strip a bit, in and out of some stores and ended up at the M&M store for a movie and some chocolate shopping!! After a quick visit to the Coke Store we walked down to MGM and went through there stopping to get a players card and to watch the lions.

We walked over to Hooters, played our free play that we got with our players cards and then went back to the room to drop our bags. We were supposed to go to Dicks Last Resort for dinner, but it was a long wait and their humour wasn't quite what we expected so we went to a food court on the strip so everyone could get what they wanted! After our friends got their luggage from our room, we went back down to the strip - refilled our Coyore Ugly mugs, then walked over to the Luxor to check it out. About 12am we went back to Excalibur to print off our boarding passes and then called it a night!

    Friday March 27th - Homebound

Today we had to get up early to check out, had the bellhop come get our bags and we were off and running! I think this was the "longest" day we were in Vegas because we didn't have a room to go back to refresh in. Crossed over and walked around New York, New York and then went to Rainforest Cafe for lunch. After gambling at MGM for a bit we took the tram back to Mandalay Bay where DH went to the Shark Reef (I went last yr, no interest to go again, so I played slots). We gambled there for quite a while because we found more Wizard of Oz machines and then walked back to the Luxor.

By this point it was like 5pm and I was ready for a nap! We took the tram back to Excalibur and crossed over to New York, New York where we re-filled our drinks and then walked around there for a bit. We decided to have dinner @ America, taking our time (I seriously wanted to take a nap on the comfy benches in there!!!) we caught up with our friends who we were flying home with - gambled a bit more money away and then went to grab our luggage and a cab! Checking in @ the airport was easy, the ride home was downright terrifying @ times with the turbulence.

We're going back in February for 10 days this time, to celebrate our 10th Anniversary!! Some of it again will be work convention related but we'll spend the rest of the time playing in Vegas  We won the most on the WOZ and 777 penny slots - wherever we found them!! We have a huge list of things to do when we go in what, 167 days? Not high rollers - but always have a good time!!

Things we WILL do again: Paris Breakfast Buffet (arrive before 10am to pay less), Cheesecake Factory, Bally's, Carnival Court.

One thing I won't do again: Excalibur! We got one of the old rooms and just wasn't impressed.

Looking forward to Serendipity 3, Stripburger, Eiffel Tower, Ellis Island and renewing our Vows by Elvis!
