    My Trip Report

Well, I got in at 12:30AM Saturday morning. Because I did NOT want to incur a gambling day and since I was also kind of tired, I went to the room and straight to bed.

Woke up at 6:30AM and the new day started. My goal today was to:

    1)Win $$$
    2)Rack up a 2500TC day
    3)Get the electronics gift

So, I told myself that I would need to "grind" the 2500TC day out, so I sat down to a .01 Hot Hot 8 (max $2.00 bet) and put $100 into each of two machines.

The left machine was good, the right machine sucked up all the left machine had given me and more.

    HotHot8_WinAll.jpg

At 200TC I was down $180, so I moved machines over to Dragons over Nanjing. Did better over there, after another 201TC, I had won back the $180 and was up $144.

I had been lax the last two trips and hadn't been keeping a detailed record of my slot play. So, I got back to it on this trip.

Went to the TR booth and got $200FP. A Wolf's Run machine in the High limit pit was "calling out" to me, so I figured, it's FP, so why not. I hit a hand pay in Las Vegas in January . . .

Well, this machine was another story, very stiff. So, I put a $300 TITO into the machine, and luckily hit a $500 payout.

The Chinese $8.88 per bet (Duo Fu Duo Cai) machine took me for another $200.

So, at 8AM I took a break for breakfast. Went downstairs to the Cafe and had CBH (Corned Beef Hash) and Eggs, and paid for it with RCs.

    CBHandEggs.jpg

For me, it's a Moot point as to pay with RCs or charge to the room, since I'm carrying a large balance of RCs.

Went upstairs and piddled around, at 9:30AM I quit at 1002TC. I went upstairs and entered my numbers into my Excel spreadsheet. Down about $250.

So, now my day is a 1500TC day. Room service just came up and brought my amenity. I need to go downstairs and deliver the dim sum that I brought for my host.

I have $330 in promo chips as a backup, but I'm holding on to these until I accumulate about $1000-$1200 and then I will sit down at the Blackjack or Craps table.

Meeting Kankan53 and DH today at 4PM. Should be fun!!

No, at Tahoe I take promo chips because they don't "expire". My primary venue is Reno. So my plan is to go in March and April and get the promo chips each time. I should have about $1000 or so by April.

OK, stick a fork in me, I'm done. I got the 2500TC done at less than $1K loss. The only decision is whether or not to go to 3500TC for the "upgrade", but I'm tired and I think I'm done.

Maybe after lunch and a nap I'll feel differently.

No hand pays, a bunch of middling pays, finished off at Harveys with another $500 hit on $1 Wolf's Run.

Waiting for my host to call me so I can deliver her food.

Not that I (or anyone else) needs to explain themselves on how or why they gamble, but:

What I have figured out is that one 2500TC day is far more valuable than two 1000TC days, and it's "only" an extra 500TC.

My new strategy is to play for one 2500TC day and not incur a gambling day or play on the "get her" or "go home" day.

By my calculation, even with a two night stay, one 2500TC day is much better for my ADT (bonuses) than two 1000TC days.

Now, this with the full understanding that on this trip, I was "lucky" and got away for less than $1/TC.

Also, the fact that this is a "weekend break" and not a full on vacation helps as well.

The reason that I "play for comps" is because I visit gambling destinations over 15 times a year, and the benefits and treatment that I receive far outweigh the expense (well, so far). It's all a part of my "entertainment budget".

I agree, 2500TC in one day is better than two 1000TH days.
and if you don't pull your card out of your pocket, you'll be better off too.

    A tactical error became a fortuitous circumstance - Slot porn!!!Well, I dro

Well, I dropped off the food for my host, and found out that I missed the Electronics registration. So now I have a dilemma, most likely, I'm going to incur a gambling day tomorrow, The electronics gifts were:

    Automatic

    32" Sharp Aquos TV or
Sony TV sound System with built-in subwoofer

or, earn 3500TC and upgrade to:

    LG 43" 1080p TV and a 120W soundbar or:
Sony 1000W 5.1 Channel Full HD Blu-ray disc home theater system.

I already got the Sony sound system last week in Reno, and I think they will swipe my card tomorrow and incur a gambling day. Hmmmmm. I'm not up right now, and 1000TC could cost me $5000 (worst case).

Gotta think about this. So, I start playing

Well, somehow I missed Kankan53 and DH. I was in the High Limit slot area outside the Diamond lounge at Harrahs there was a Rapa Nui Riches machine begging me to play. It was a 15 line $1 machine. I put $100 in. $15 or $30 a pull. I said, hey, you're down, now need to get "more down" in a hurry. OK, $15. 5 pulls in I got:

    20160227_handpay.jpg

Wow! Saved February. Thought I was going without a W2-G there. OK, this put me back up, so there was now no question of pursuing the 3500TC.

I went into the Diamond lounge and no one "noticed" me, so Kankan53 and DH were occupied elsewhere, or saw me and didn't want to associate with me <G>.

I ate a salad, so not I might not need to eat dinner. Went Outside, and sat down to a .01 Cleopatra multi-play. My Tahoe host found me and brought me my cooler. She also brought me some Chinese New Year's gifts. We chatted for a bit and then she went on her way. I returned to the room.

I'm putting my play into my log. I think I'm up a small amount <$500. I'm now about 6 or 700TC away from 3500, so do I make it all tonght, or leave about 500TC short to finish up tomorrow?

    We'll see . . . .

Kankan53 just PMed me. Going down to meet them now.

Why not go for 5,000 and get the 10,000 tier credit bonus if you are already shooting for 3,500 RC today?

Congrats on the Rapa Nui hit!

You must have more guts than me. Remember that "past performance has no bearing on future results".

I went downstairs to check my balance. I have about 375TC left. I'm gonna "quit" for the day (yeah right) and play for 500TC tomorrow, since I'm already gonna be hit for a gambling day.

I'll do 500TC in the morning (that way I show play, and pick up a small bonus), check in at 10AM, and then leave.

I have 2 trips to Las Vegas in March. Met with Kankan53 and her husband DH. She is good people. We chit chatted for about 15-20 minutes.

S**t! 6:30PM, and I'm not hungry. I don't want to play anymore. Put most of my money in the safe. Trying to figure out what to do next.

OK. Last post for the night. Decided not to leave anything to chance. The last 390TC cost me nearly $800, but I was "swinging for the fences". Still ahead.

Ended up with 3502TC tonight. Going to sleep now. Gambling is done for this trip.

Sucks that the end was basically a hoover. That's why I hate coin-in goals...when you're near the goal, it's almost impossible to quit (at least for me) if the reward for reaching it is decent. Do you get to choose from better gifts if you earn 3500+ TCs? I really didn't get what you meant by an "upgrade" at 3500 TCs.

Woke up this morning at 4AM, stayed away from the casino until 6:15. Breakfast restaurant opened at 6:30AM. Went downstairs and found a $100 TITO, so I sat down and made back $200 of the $800 I gave back last night.

Had breakfast, smoked salmon. Once again forgot to take a picture but the chef did do it up "nice".

3 hours to kill before I leave. Nap, movie, walk next door to see the old Caesars? Walk across the street to the Hard Rock? I think the nap or movie wins out.

Put most of the money in my suitcase so I'm not "tempted".

    "Straight outta Compton" won.
