Sunday, February 21st
9AM On our way to Philly airport ! (Joe & Rose already there)
10:30AM Ready to check-in
11:37AM Waiting to board our Southwest flight!
3:18PM LANDED in VEGAS!!
3:28PM Baggage claim
3:37PM Rental Car Shuttle
4:16PM Alamo Rental car....through autorentals.com* NO problems although the employees at the Alamo counter seemed unenthused and skeptical about them......who knows..... We got 2 Chrysler mini vans (with tip) one was BRAND new, one almost new. Off we go!! *198.50 per vehicle for 9 days.
4:37PM THE FLAMINGO!! Usually they let the WHOLE PARTY check in at VIP, we have 2 platinums.....this time they said they were understaffed and couldn't do it. NOT REALLY So check in was fast for 2 couples, the other 2 couples not so much, although then we saw the self check in kiosks. One couple checked in through that, the other couple tried but couldn't SO we went to the KEY line. She gave them an executive room on the top floor strip view, like we had (28086). The other 2 couples had High Roller view studios. 6:27PM Dinner at Carlos n'Charlies in The Flamingo, used $50 GCert purchased from Vegas4Locals on eBay.
8:15PM Checking out THE Cromwell (formerly Barbary Coast and Bill's Gambling Hall) next door......

Monday, February 22nd

6:50PM Meet limo van to go to CASA DI AMORE for dinner!!!! (Vegas4locals)
7:11PM Listening to live entertainment at the restaurant. Fun time
9:50PM Back at The Cromwell.....for Jameson,Ginger&Lime for me at least LOL Ireland trip influence!!!! Best ones on the trip!!!!

Tuesday, February 23rd
10:07AM Arrive WESTGATE Resort (formerly Las Vegas Hilton)
10:26AM ELVIS THE EXHIBIT (Groupon) then play free play (Las Vegas Advisor) on slots in the casino (they have the same system as the Hilton did FYI).
2:04PM PETE ROSE SPORTS BAR and GRILL for lunch.
3:40PM V THEATER in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood for POPOVICH COMEDY PET THEATER show (Vegas4locals). 5:42PM TOMMY WIND THEATER for his magic show (Vegas4locals).
8:15PM Back at Flamingo
9:06PM Johnny Rockets in Flamingo Food Court (American Casino Guide) for hamburgers and shakes!!
9:25PM The LINQ Casino next door (formerly Imperial Palace and The Quad) where Marie hit for over a grand on a 50 cent bet!! WOOHOO!!!

Wednesday, February 24th

11:38AM On the BIG BUS TOUR !!! (Vegas4locals) First up the downtown tour! EXCELLENT TOUR GUIDE Matthew (not Deborah) with driver Miss Toni

3:12PM Back at CIRCUS CIRCUS for slots and big drinks from VINCE NEIL'S bar (Groupon)

Tuesday, MARCH 1st

7:32PM Have luggage waiting for Mike the chauffeur! LOL
10:39PM We are home!! PS Spirit plane only had one bathroom useable on the flight home so we just FINALLY got an email back that gives all 6 of us 25 dollars towards a future flight.

MISCELLANEOUS
Casinos visited this trip. Flamingo, Cromwell, Harrahs, Ballys, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Mirage, Bellagio, Linq, Palace Station, Rio, Gold Strike in Jean ,Golden Gate, Binions, Harrahs Laughlin, Colorado Belle, Riverside, Pioneer.

Total Rewards....we participated in a play in AC get comps in Vegas offer last year. We had 40 in comps due. NO ONE KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I finally emailed and they took care of it, but sheesh. Oh well...... The free buffets were worth a lot of money once we all figured out how to get them, no real instructions anywhere. We got a total of 7 free buffets (Mike and I) The rooms we got were very very good.... all 3. Harrahs Laughlin was still totally comped like it used to be in Vegas The Cromwell's drinks were the best of the Harrahs properties, but Laughlin had excellent frozen drinks! On the subject of drinks... Stella bottles are served at the Golden Gate, and the Bellagio Cocktail is still wonderful.

Next trip no rental car I am thinking because of the charging for parking thing. I would think the car rental companies would be kind of upset over this.

I liked Circus Circus but we only played in the very front section. Good drink service and slots were good. They have their own players card that includes Slots of Fun.....we earned a free Tshirt LOL

Found SEVERAL of my FAV old slot machines this trip yippee Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Munsters, Money Storm, I Dream of Jeanie, Benny Big Game. NO PHANTOM YET THOUGH Why don't they like Jail Bird in Nevada??? Hubby played craps and blackjack successfully in a few casinos. He won a big brown jug of Ellis Island beer of his choice....ROOT beer!! ....for getting a suited blackjack of the day which was nice.

Didn't get to Gilley's although one couple did The Secret Garden looks better than I remember it from my daughter's pictures, so it goes on my list for next trip!! And I didn't get to the Cosmo for my raspberry lemondrop...... Great trip, cannot wait for next one!!!!

Great record keeping; clearly you are more sober than I in Vegas lol. You got around a lot. Great value on earning the buffets! Congrats to Marie on her hit!

 

LOL. I cheat ... I use the website Swarm, an offshoot of Foursquare... To keep track! Normally I have more drinks but I caught a virus from my grandson before we left Still a great trip for all!!
