Trying to get some insight in how the TR Diamond $100 dinner credit deal works. I was Diamond in 2013 and after getting enough points to renew that level we used the dinner credit on an Oct 2013 trip. Diamond status is good through 3/2015 but wondering when - or if the dinner credit deal renews. Is it correct to assume that I don't qualify for another dinner credit until I get enough points in 2014 to renew the Diamond so that it extends to 3/2016?

I might be wrong but I believe they have changed the diamond dinner. Last year in 2013 you indeed got a 100 dollar meal for reaching diamond. However in 2014, I believe you need something like 40,000 points to get the aspirations 100 meal voucher

Got enough points to reach Diamond in August 2013 - used the dinner credit in October 2013. Diamond status is good through 3/2015.

Question is - as a Diamond for 2014 am I eligible for a new 2014 dinner credit now - or do I first need to get enough points during 2014 to again renew Diamond status?

Funny, exact same scenario here and I emailed them yesterday, their response:

"The celebration dinner is now a diamond benefit, as such it was loaded into your account. All you need to do to redeem it is stop by a total rewards center with your ID and you will be given a coupon to take with you."

Seems like they should mail something as you said.

no much better its not mailed becuase if u loose it u cant use it, much better this way, just figure out where u want to go , when ur at the property go tr desk they will print out voucher all set, mucher better then sending it to u and u loose it and ur done, its so easy to use

when they say its load into your account all theres is a notiation as an offer like all ur free stuff so if u went to tr desk they would say you know you have the diamond dinner you can redem.

Yeah, and CET is doing a lot of promote this perk, or at least they are for me. As soon as mine became available my "Casino Sales Executive" emailed me to remind me, and offered to book a reservation.
Having used it, basically you go to TR desk and they issue you the voucher, along with a info on what restos you can use it at. In Vegas it some in the form of two sided marketing slick with program description and list of restos. In Vegas you had 7 days to use the voucher or get it canceled before it expires, at least that was the way it worked last year. I used mine last year at Voodoo Steak House.

I am hoping Giada will be on the list for this year, since I have already made reservations for my labor day trip.

I was just in LV last weekend and redeemed the yearly $100 diamond dinner. It is good till March 31st of next year for this years dinner. They give you a $100 voucher like a receipt type piece of paper. I asked if I lose it, will I be able to obtain another one. TR rep said no, and advised me if I don't plan to use it, don't redeem it until you do. Also in reference to Giada, I had asked too. The TR rep said no and said many people have been asking. They do "anticipate" adding it "soon." I asked at both Caesars and PH and both with similar answers. When you ask at the TR desk, they have some small piece of paper stating "$100 Celebrate Dinner" with the list of all the restaurants you are able to use the voucher at. I can't find it now, but once I do, I'll post a picture.

I hit Diamond Aspirations Levels I & II two months ago and never received any redemption info, so thanks for the question OP & everyone's responses.

Related question: how is the $750 airfare redeemed for DL II, just go TR also? (And does anyone know if it can be subbed for FP?)

    Thanks.

FJD, I'm about 20K shy from Level II and looked into the $750 airfare too. From the information provided last year, you have to redeem and travel by March 31st, and book 30 days in advance. At the time of booking, if airfare is above $750, you will need to pay the difference. Also, you're supposed to contact a host which then emails/calls Passport Travel with your request and then they handle. Disclaimer, this information may or may not be still valid for this year.

As of December, the aspirations travel had to be done through a host who then went through Passport Travel.

This seemed a tedious and inefficient way to do it, if they don't book quickly. There's likely a savings for CET in this somehow.

DH is 7 Star. When he reached the Diamond again this year, he talked to the Total Rewards counter about getting his $100 dinner.

He was told he wasn't eligible until the end of the year when he'd earn his trip and $500 dinner again.

This isn't logical. There's no guarantee that he'll reach 7 Star again. It's also possible that we won't even be in Vegas because medical insurance may profit us from US travel.

We really didn't need the extra credits right then because he had lots of comp dollars to pay for meals so didn't bother arguing and it isn't worth the hassle in the middle of a vacation.

This is how I think the Diamond dinner works. We made Diamond in 2012, last year we had our diamond celebration dinner but it was based on making Diamond in 2012. We made Diamond again in 2013, earlier this year we used the dinner that was based on being Diamond in 2013. I have now made diamond again in 2014, after April 1, 2015 I will be eligible for the dinner again as long as it is still a benefit.
