    My Trip Report

Let me start this out by saying this is probably our last strip stay. I used to really enjoy staying on the strip but after breaking my leg back in October its just too hard to make my way through these mega resorts right now. That combined with the club kids and the decent low limit tables vanishing I end up on Fremont Street almost the entire trip.

    Day 1:

Head to San Diego Airport to fly out on SW. Through security quick and on our way in no time. Landed in Vegas and headed to Baggage Claim where bags were already out so it was grab and go. Hopped on the Rental Car Shuttle and were the only ones at the Budget desk. One of the online coupons I had booked with came up as invalid and had to pay about $30 more for the weekend. No big deal but clerk compensated us with an upgrade.

Headed to MGM for a one night comp'd room through MyVegas. Room was a West Wing room and nothing special. Quickly headed down and grabbed dinner at Project Pie and then off to the casino. Wandered around playing a machine here and there and walking past Lions Share. It had a line about 5 deep so we kept walking. Couldn't find a table I liked so we walked over to NYNY. Played to new 3 reel Willy Wonka machine and hit it for just over $500 on a Bonus Round that took about 15 minutes to complete. Played other slots staying about even for about 4 hours. Couldn't get on the $10 craps table so we headed north.

Walked outside and checked out the new park out front of NYNY and Monte Carlo. Headed into MC to The Pub to get a couple free beers we had though MV. Walked into Aria and though Crystals ending up in Cosmo. Picked up a players card since I had the 2-1 Wicked Spoon pass I picked up through here. Grabbed a slice of pizza upstairs around 1am I think and thought it was good compared to the pizza I've had at Five50 and the place in NYNY. Headed Back to the room and called it a night.

    Day 2
Checked out of MGM and grabbed brunch at Wicked Spoon on the way to Venetian to check in. Had a 2 night comp'd stay from marketing as a tease offer and didn't really throw any play there way due to the change in BJ pay and couldn't find a craps table that wasn't $25. Went to FSE and ate at Triple 7's. Gambled at MSS, Fremont, TheD, El Cortez, and Downtown Grand. Played BJ or Craps at each staying pretty much even or a little up on the night. We also walked across the street to look at Container Park and see the fire-breathing praying mantis. Overall quiet and uneventful day,

    Day 3
Back to FSE and the Fremont to grab breakfast at Dunkin Donuts. Played some $3 BJ for about 3 hours on $20 and leaving with $40. Walked back to Downtown Grand where I bought in on the craps table with the $40. This will probably be the best win I ever have on a table. The shooter got stupid hot and played that $40 into $600. Biggest hits were a $1 hard 8 i parlayed and it hit 3 more times before going out. As I left I asked the Pit Boss what he rated me at and was told 4 hours at $75. Hopefully this will get some offers as I've seen DTG is pretty liberal about the comps they're throwing at people.

Headed back to Venetian for dinner and use the FB credit we had at Buddy V's. I really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely go back. After Dinner went to the Tim McGraw/Faith Hill Concert and was a very good show. Glad she picked this and didn't want to go see Brittany Spears... Don't think I could have done that one. After the show we walked south to check out the Linq and grab a beer at Yard House. Crossed the street and headed to Mirage where I played a Ruby Slippers machine hitting it for $300 and then off to TI where my wife had a $250 hit on a Deal or No Deal Machine. Headed back to the room about 2am.

    Day 4
Checked out of V/P and headed to Aria for our final night. This was our favorite room of the trip and also the only one we payed for. Wandered around the south strip area some more playing here and there and only getting one decent hit on the 5 reel Wonka machine for $225 on an Oompa Loompa feature. Grabbed a bite at the Pub and had a couple of beers as my wife (Giants fan) and I (Rockies fan) watched the ball game. Wound up back on FSE where we mostly played at DTG. walked into Mermaids and La Bayou to play some coin machines. Walked over to Plaza for the first time and grabbed a beer at the Beer Garden and watched the cops haul away drunks. Back to the room about 2am.

    Day 5
Had a buffet comp at Aria that was included with the room. Checked out and made our way to South Point to kill time before our flight. Played roulette on a whim with $10 placing 10 straight up numbers. Hit 4 spins in a row and left up a little over $100. Back to the rental center and the airport.

Wound up about $800 up on the trip overall. Was a little worried about switching hotels so many times but everything went smoothly.

Very nice. Wish I could do that at the craps table!

What did you think of the Bier Garden at the Plaza? I'm hoping that it's a better place to sit outside for a drink than the places at Binions and 4 Queens.

It was ok at best outside. My biggest complaints were we were the only ones but it was a Sunday night and that stage blocks any decent view of the rest of FSE. We didn't sit outside long because the winds kicked up real bad and we kept getting hassled by some of the homeless.

I forgot to add that on this trip we were bothered about 3 times inside casinos by homeless begging for money.

I also doubt I'll ever see a craps session that good again.
