Okay, so it wasn't Vegas or any casino for that matter. It was a volunteer fire house fund raiser tourney against my locals. About 50 - 60 players.

We played 107 hands, with the last 20 or so head to head. Neither of us wanted to chop because neither of us had ever won anything before.

I finally got enough of a chip advantage to go all in with an Ace - King of diamonds.

He called. I won with the Ace high! Unbelievable!

It was only $250 but I am now a winner.

Congrats! A win is a win unless it is a Wynn! I am still very happy with my 33rd place finish in a VP tourney which got me a whopping $100.

    CONGRATS!!

A win is always great! I remember my first win at the local casino here. It was 40 starting players and I had to fight being low dog most of the tourney. Fought my way to the final table and then got some monster hands that allowed me to cement the win. It was a measley $350, but the pride of being a champion is priceless.

The only time I played live was at MGM a few years ago in a tournament. The top four of us chopped and I got $450. For some reason I just haven't tried it again.
