I recently got the Total Rewards Visa with the automatic upgrade to Platinum status. The TR website is very vague with some of the benefits...just curious what other benefits are available for Platinum status? (Buffet line skips, special check in, etc).

I found a thread from about a year ago discussing this, but it was right after switching from BoA to Comenity and there was a LOT of confusion. Thanks!

With Platinum, you get waived the resort fees at CET properties. Besides the ones you mentioned, there's not much other benefits. Also, your Platinum status will only be good till March 31st 2016.

To be clear you have to ask them to waive the resort fee when you check in. They are not waived automatically.

The two perks that most people use with Platinum Total Rewards is:
    - some buffets have a platinum line so you get to bypass the longer gold/no card line
    - some hotels have a platinum check in so you get to bypass the longer gold/no card line
    - An extra 5% off (versus gold card) at casino gift shops

Otherwise, you say the TR site is vague? They have a table a little ways down on the page at: https://www.totalrewards.com/TotalRewards/RewardsAndBenefits.do?page=trBenefits
which really isn't that vague as far as what the extra benefits are.

I meant vague with some of the more useful benefits like waiving resort fees. Depending on the length of your stay, that's a HUGE money saver. Don't see that advertised anywhere. The purpose of this thread was to try and find out some of the "hidden" benefits.

    Thanks everyone for the responses!

You get priority boarding on the Rio to Ballys shuttle too if I remember right. Might not seem like much, but it occasionally fills up and that would leave some waiting for next bus.

    That SHOULDN'T be true

When you book online as a platinum card member it shows resort fees $0.

If someone tries to charge you I would report them.

You are correct. Only 7* and Diamond get to load first. I was Platinum and had to wait with everyone else.

Another thing to mention about Platinum: Yes you get your resort fees waived, but you don't get to use the wifi for free because of this. You have to pay for that and the other perks that come with the resort fees if you want to use that particular service.

If you play in AC, you get priority boarding on the shuttle between Caesars, Harrah's, Bally's, Showboat, and the convention center with Platinum membership.

actualy you need to be platnium, diamond or 7 stars or a hotel guest to ride the shuttle in ac , but as a platnium your on the next to last of the pecking order in the shuttle in ac.

gold will not get you on the free shuttle in ac , ive had this fight many times when im on my way to check into Harrahs , its costs them a few free dinners to please me becuase of there crappy rules
