Hi and thanks for any info...I have an offer booked for 6/30-7/3 w free room and $450 free play. We are planning on arriving on 6/28. Can we book an offer for those 2 days as well as our 6/30 offer? Didn't want to bother my host(she's done enough for me) again thanks

CET will comp 5 nights max.

Log into TR and look at the availability calendar for your dates. If all 5 show as COMP, then call the reservations line and ask to add the nights of the 28th and 29th as COMP nights. When she finishes with the reservation, 3 nights should show as FREE and 2 as COMP. There's some accounting distinction between the two.

If you play enough to have a host, my guess is that you'll be eligible for the extra 2 nights comped.

Don't wait though, I booked a reservation at Caesars for July a couple of months ago and now the weekend dates I'm staying are listed at over $250.

What's the difference between 'free' and 'comp'?

I usually see 'comp' - if anything - but sometimes see 'free'.

Please call your host to book this--and it should be no problem.
Your host gets credit for booking her people in--so work through her:peace:

It didn't work for me. I have May 9-14 already booked at Bally's comped. I wanted to add 2 free nights (May 15-16) offered to me through my e-mail.
I called Paris and tried to book 2 days that are comped but they couldn't or wouldn't.

Perhaps a Host would have done it but whatever, it's their loss. Does seem kind of strange though, apparently CET doesn't want their card holders staying "free" for 7 nights, even though in the long run i would be spending about $400 per day x two in addition to the 5 days already booked (plus resort fees).

CET is giving me 100 points per day May 8-10 plus raffles, so it's something. It's a High Roller VIP offer, but looking at the fine print it has a cash value of $2000 (which i'd rather take).

If I had to guess, I'd say it's some sort of accounting distinction as to who's paying for it. From a bookkeeping standpoint, the hotel operation and its casino operation are separate. So when you get a COMP night, the casino side is actually paying the hotel side for your room.

Most offers I get apply to all CET hotels, and probably come from "Corporate Marketing". So "Corporate Marketing" is paying the hotel operation for those nights (in the end, who knows where the money comes from, it doesn't make any difference to he customer really). COMP nights, the casino pays the hotel.

I had a 3 night offer that applied to all hotels. When I plugged in the code and looked at the availability calendar, it said "OFFER" for all 5 nights I wanted to stay. But when I tried to book 5 nights under the code, it wouldn't work, so I had to call.

The reservations agent booked the 5 nights, said 3 were under the offer and 2 were comped based on past play. The reservation confirmation had 3 nights listed as FREE and 2 as COMP.

Well, the casinos figure you have X amount of bankroll, they want to get it out of you in the minimum amount of time.

In the case of CET, it's 5 nights, in the case of MGM, it's 3. Anything longer than that, you have to use a host.

$400 a day in hotel spend (as opposed to gambling bankroll) has no benefit to the casino. Even a $400 a day gambling loss is going to be on the edge of what is worth it to them. It's the casino that's offering (or not offering) you the comp.

I think they know that at a certain point, most people will fall into one of two categories.

    a) They will run out of money in xx days. Time to move them out.

    b) They have xx amount of money and will spend the same in 7 days as they would have spent if only there 5 days. (spend less per day) So, limit them to 5 days, and move them out.

That's true, in my case they figure $400 per day x 7 would still equal $400 per day x 5 or $2100. They figure i would decrease my bankroll on a daily basis to still equal $2100 for 7 days.

However, what they don't realize is if i stayed 7 days instead of 5, my bankroll would increase to $2800.

But i understand where they're coming from.

    Bother your host.

Last trip, we had booked PH for 5 nights With Britney Spears tickets months before. Shania Twain offer came in shortly before the trip and our host was able to use the offer due to the 48 hour separation between offers. We were not able to do on line.

This week we were headed to CP Augustus tower for 5 nights to see Elton John. A few weeks ago we got a drawing offer which included a lot of free play for each of us. I asked if we could move to Rio after the 48 hours to get the offer and he was able to do it and get us Masquerade Suite for those days. Again, we could not do it online.

Someone stated CET could only comp 5 nights which is true online. For longer trips talk with your host to see if they will book you two reservations back to back. Like our summer trip for 8 nights.

They do realize that a certain percentage of people will bankroll themselves extra for a longer stay, that's why you can book a longer trip through a host who can look at your past play and make that call.

But they've come to the conclusion that the vast majority don't, that's why their policy is set up the way it is.
