    When you book a TR CET room on an offer, it usually shows up on the reservation as a free room. If you use the calendar, they show up as comp rooms.

    What is the difference, and what does it effect? I am sure it is a subtle difference, but there must be some difference; why else would they use both terms...

    Any ideas?:confused2::confused2::confused2:

    "offers" come from marketing and comp rooms are based on your past play. They really amount to the same thing. A free room is a comp.

    In effect they are the same, the only real difference is how you are viewing the rate calendar:

    FREE:
    Means you are looking at the rate calendar through an offer. An offer will be something like "Three free nights at your choice of one of these hotels..." and these are the nights that are available as free for use with your offer.

    COMP:
    Means you are looking at the rate calendar without an offer activated, so there are no free rooms. Normally rates would be listed here however if you are seeing "COMP" then that means that based on your history of play they are willing to cover the cost of those nights.

    If you have an offer for three free nights but you book five nights then if they are all going to free it would show up like: FREE FREE FREE COMP COMP or some combination thereof.
