Would have planned to be in Vegas June or July but in the process of looking for a new job and scheduled a trip for late Aug instead. Expecting that a new job will hopefully happen by then and if not, I will need the break anyway.

Don't tell me about the heat because July/Aug used to be our regular time and don't mind the heat at all. Drink plenty of water during the day and alcohol at night.:beer::beer:

Will be playing lots of slots and as always looking out for the new machines.
Will play Craps in the morning at Paris as the tables are usually empty at that time. Gives me lots of dice time.

We purchased the PH 2 for 1 groupon and looking forward to trying it out.

No shows planned, just lots of gambling. Casino hop during the day (and some slow play for me) and back to the home casino at night for drinking and heavier gambling. My wife slow plays day and night so not much difference for her. :evillaugh

Anyone else going in Aug and if so what are your plans???

I'm going up for the PGA Fall Expo, but mostly meeting a few of the boyz for several days of golf. Arrive 8/18 for three nights. Presently booked into the JW Marriott.

Anyone know if there's a Guy Fieri restaurant in Vegas? That would be prime!

8/8 - 8/12 at MSS. Sister and husband are at the Nugget so we'll have access to the pool. Late morning, mid-afternoon low limit poker at the Nugget.

Craps downtown. MSS for high odds possibilities if I run into a good table. The Cal for the serious dice throw'n Hawaiians and my shot at the Golden Arm. Golden Gate for the nice sights and sounds to go with dice throw'n. The Fremont and El Co are also on the Tour of Tables as we hunt for the 30 minute plus rolls. Plenty of cold Bud Lights at all stops.

Friday night crab leg feast at MSS
Saturday - Burger Bar, Holsteins or Le Burger and a Cirque show (??)
Sunday - Stripsteak and Truffle Mac & Cheese

Hopefully two $150 plus poker tourney's at the V and a significant cash.

Meeting my sister and her friends for a week, the friends are vegas virgins so I suspect it will be more of a solo trip as I'm not playing tour guide:rolleyes2: I also don't share rooms :Þ. 22-25 Aug Aria, 25-29 Wynn:beer::beer: looking forward to chilling out in front of the slots.

Nothing wrong with being a tour guide. Plus they may buy you lunch for your troubles.
I think showing some vegas virgins around can be fun and you get a fresh perspective. Also, they can really fun at night when the drinking and heavy gambling starts.:beer::beer:

Usually I'm excited about playing tour guide but these girls just want to go clubbing all night and sleep all day , they're driving my sister nuts already by not wanting to do any research lol also not sure that they plan on gambling. :rolleyes2:

LOL, I know! I've never stayed in more than 2 places on a trip ever, but had a few extenuating circumstances this time.

18/19/20 - MSS - hubby is only with me part of the trip and we wanted to spend some days downtown and it is comped so..........
21/22 - Monte Carlo - stupidly spent MyVegas LPs on 2 nights at MC just to spend some time at a nicer pool in between MSS and Harrah's
23/24 - Harrah's - hubby is leaving and I have some friends in town and they are also staying at Harrah's
25/26 - Mirage - this was a deal I couldn't pass up. $190.40 including all taxes and fees WITH a $150 resort credit. And I figured it is right across the street so not the worst thing... (I didn't know about this until way after booking MC too...)

    LOL!

I hope we can maybe get a quick M&G somewhere with everyone there at that time!

Being from the east coast do you tend to get up early Vegas time too?
If so that tends to be a great time to play at Paris. Usually you can find an empty table to get lots of dice time.

Ok, that does sound like a potential headache and I don't understand that no gambling thing. Good luck on your solo trip.

I'll be in Vegas August 8-12, first three nights at the Monte Carlo and then a night in Aria (the latter courtesy of MyVegas).

Not much in terms of concrete plans, except to go see a show each night and mostly stick to VP this time.

There are 6 of us planning to spend the week (13th - 20th). We're celebrating a 40th, and 2 wedding anniversaries - where better than Vegas? Lots of gambling, time relaxing at the pool and a Cirque show - not sure which one, have seen a few - looking at the new Michael Jackson.

08/29 - 09/03 at Flamingo. However, I'll be spending the first night with my cousin and her husband who was just recently stationed at Nellis Air Force Base. I'm up to party and gamble starting Friday...

We're arriving August 20th for two wonderful weeks at the Four Seasons. Our plans are sun, pool, shop, eat and drink. The latter being our biggest indulgence mixed with playing as many slots as is humanly possible, we've got to keep up the platinum Mlife - great excuse or what?!

I cannot wait and the hotter the better, although I'm not sure how long I would last in the coming weekend's temperatures!

Flying solo into Vegas. Staying at Harrah's. In Vegas for a convention/vacation. Would love to meet up with some people to socialize with. I love to drink and gamble (hmmm, maybe that's why I love Vegas). I am a Poker nut, but play craps or anything for the FUN.

Vegas virgin here flying in on Aug. 24 and leaving Sep. 3. Staying at Harrahs the first 6 nights and then the Tropicana the last 4. Planning on playing poker during the day with some table games thrown in here and there. I want to see a couple shows, club crawl, and check out some pools during the day. Open to pretty much anything and want to experience as much as I can! I'm down to meet up for some fun and gambling.
