Jeez, I don't know. I hate the Pats, but I do admire what they have done over the years. Seems they just looked for a high profile guy to make an example. Why not Bill?

Might be a good opportunity to bet on the Pats since Garapolo looked pretty good last year, and he will be prepped by Belichick for the games, including having the footballs prepped to his liking!
Wonder how this affects the Over Under for the season total games bet. If the number of games drops, I'd bet the over.

I suspect Brady will appeal the ruling and will get it reduced down to 2 games. I am surprised that the Partiots got hammered like they did though.

I think it would be awesome for the Brady "magic spell" to be over and people just realize that the Pats are a well organized team

I'm thinking: does anybody even really care about this story?

It seems like this would have been one of those things the NFL could have just put on the back burner, ignored a little and then swept it under the rug never to hear from it again... but instead it seems like they themselves just keep bumping this thing back in to the news and won't let it die off.

I also think that the suspension will be reduced.

Don't be surprised if the Pats run the table like they did in 2007 after spygate.

If Brady doesn't play until game 5, that will be against the Colts. Get your popcorn cuz he's gonna be pissed.

I say reduced by 1. Miss first 3 games, bye week and then Dallas in week 5.

No it's not. But I don't blame the Colts, they brought a legitimate issue to the NFL League office. However, the League office is clearly out to get the Pats.

Hammered? It's integrity-of-the-game-on-the-field paranoia. The NFL has this over-inflated sense of its own image and social importance, and you can be an absolute subhuman as long as it happens outside the lines up until the point it affects sponsorship dollars. But show up wearing the wrong color socks ...

With Great National Addiction the powers that be have created this belief that the emperor is wearing clothes.

As a Colts fan, I think 4 games is too much. It will probably be appealed down to a 2 game suspension, which would be fair. I don't think the weight of the ball changed the outcome of that game. Rules are there for a reason, and break the rules you get punished. What is a FAIR punishment though?

4 games is just right.....to provide some parity in the AFC East. Pats go onto playoffs again....despite the Brady-missed games! Kraft will be passing out 60,000 deflated footballs at the first game when the banner goes up....whatever

I feel like this punishment is Goodell's way of making up for fumbling the ball (pun intended) on the Ray Rice situation. It's definitely excessive. But if there's anyone I would like to see as a scapegoat, it's Tom.

Can't blame you for feeling that way.
I would too if TB had a history of torching my team year in and year out for the past 15 years.
