a friend of mine was the lead electrician on this house

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/morganbrennan/2012/03/13/a-dallas-palace-that-cost-46-million-to-build-now-asks-10-million/

it took them years to build it and the owners lived in it for probably less than a year.....their son has another really nice across a busy road from it and there is a tunnel under the road to get back and forth between the two

it was for sale for many years with no buyers and they finally sent it to auction and the company that bought it split off some acres and built some apartments and now it is back for sale again probably with few if any takers

it is in an area that was more rural/far suburban that is now growing faster......a nice area, but the house is way too much for the area and the area is not near anything major and lake lewisville is close, but the house is not even on the lake....great way to spend a ton of time and effort and most of all money only to lose a ton of it

the house itself is pretty amazing though and really first rate construction and materials it is just the wrong location and the wrong location and the wrong location......plus it is someone else's dream which usually does not sell well
