I've used Avis before for work but never in Vegas and not on my own dime. Any experiences with them out of McCarren. I've got too many reservations going and I need to start pruning.

We used Avis for the first time in July. I signed up to Avis Preferred before we went, so when we got to the rental car centre, it was straight down to the preferred kiosk by the cars, less than 5 minutes from arriving at the centre to getting in the car. Using them again next summer.

I've not dealt with Avis, however if you have a Costco membership go through them. I find the rates to be about 1/2.

I always use Avis out of McCarron and it is a very fast and pleasant experience. It is also very quick getting out onto Las Vegas Boulevard once you exit the Avis parking garage. If you search online you can find some great Avis discount codes.

Used them and their little sister Budget a few times out of LAS. No issues that I can remember.

Not sure how much of a discount it will give but Mlife provides a discount code.

Used them last year, smooth with no pressure up-selling extra insurance etc. Got the car I booked, a nearly new suburban with 4800 miles on it.

It's an 11 hour flight from London to Las Vegas, so I never rent at the airport. 11 hours is waaaay too long to not be drinking and I don't want to be boozed up, in a rental car, driving on the other side of the road straight after arriving. I do, however, use Avis at Aria on my second or third day in town and experience has always been great. Always got the car I booked, or better, and a fairly reasonable price.
