It's the only place I play this game. At our local casino you have to pay $1 commission to play. In exchange, you get to see 1 of the dealers 3 cards. I bet at least $100/hand to help eliminate the effect of the $1 ante. If the dealer has J or less, you play, QKA you know you have to look and at least beat their card.

    Then I have good strategy. . .

If you see 1 of dealer's card, your expectation is 3.5% with correct strategy. so if you bet $100, your EV = $3.5 - $1 = $2 !. The correct strategy can be found in the book : Exhibit caa Beyond Counting by James Grosjean.

What if you have a strong card and don't want to see dealer's card, do you still have to pay $1 to play?

You pay the $1 before the cards are dealt. My biggest issue is I do not like this game.

    Still with +EV. . .

That means $1 commission every hand, so your EV = $2.5(bet $100) ! But you need correct strategy.

    Same as everywhere I think...

1/3/6/30/40-Pair/flush/straight/trips/st8 flush for bonus. They also pay 200/1 for Royal flush. Ante and bet paid when dealer qualifies with Q.

1/4/5/30/40 at my local casino but you can't see one of dealer's card.

If you just bet $100 ante, pay $1 to see dealer's card, no bonus bet and raise with correct strategy after see dealer's card, then you EV/hand = +2.5. MUCH MORE BETTER THAN BLACKJACK !

Where is your local casino ?

Sounds like a cardroom in California. They charge $1 per hand for table games.

Yes, Players Club in Ventura. Same goes for BJ, except in BJ the house pays it for you.
