I'm heading to Vegas on Thursday with girlfriends. I went down to the Horseshoe in Indiana today for a Michael Kors giveaway and figured I would use the money I'd won from them to see if I could increase my bankroll for Vegas. About $500 in I switched machines to an old favorite and cashed out a ticket for $250. At that point I said "screw it-I'm going to high limit" (fully expecting to walk away with nothing). 3 spins in I hit this! [IMG]

My Vegas trip just got better! I will of course be responsible with at least half

Way to go! Congrats!!!! I saw the $1 Buffalo in the HL at Palazzo the last time I was there. I didn't play it, but have been thinking I should try it for a bit on my next trip.
And only 3 spins in~ awesome!

Yeah, I'd think that would boost the bankroll a good bit. Take some of it, and have a nice meal somewhere as well.

    Congrats on the nice hit.

    Sweet hit!

Was $40 the max spin on that game?

$40 was not the max, rather it was the minimum to play all 5 lines. $200 was the max bet. This was 5 hours ago and I'm still a little shaky with excitement!

And I'm thinking that the $140 Wagyu 5oz filet at Old Homestead might have my name on it on Thursday .

Great hit! Congrats! Random buffalo question. ..is playing all 5 lines the best play? I'd been told that playing 3 columns (which still allows you to use certain spots in the final two columns) is a good value play. So, that's how I've been playing it. But if playing 5 is the best play, I'll certainly adjust my gameplay

I'm not sure about only playing the first three lines. Even if you were given access to a single spot in each of the last 2 lines, I'd be concerned on missing out on the bigger multiplier or on missing out on a connection if the available spot didn't contain what you needed. The way the game works, it takes the number of buffalo (or other symbols) in each row to figure out the multiplier. So the hit posted above for example was 3x3x2x1x2 for a multiplier of 36. Even if given 1 free space in lines 4 and 5 that had a buffalo, it would've changed the payout to 1x1x2x1x2 (working backwards from fifth real). That changes the multiplier to x4 instead of x36 which makes the win $1200 instead of $10,800. I can't see why it would be a smarter play to only do the first three lines given the way the game works.
