Listening to Steely Dan got me wondering if they were on tour or not. Then, I thought back to the time when Greg, knowing I was a SD fan, tipped me off to one of their Vegas concerts.
    Greg, you're still missed.

    I hear ya chef:
Greg always had time to share his knowledge of shows, best seats and everything about music or theater. I appreciate the contributions he made here for all of us.

    Greg is greatly missed.
He has given some great advice to this and many other boards.
I think of him any time we go to a Vegas show.
    It just seems appropriate.

The definitive word when it came to shows and seating. Still check some of his old posts for seating info.

I was fortunate enough to hang out with Greg several times in LV and we PM'd many times, at the end talking about his challenge. He was a wonderful man and I miss him. FFlowers and I went to many shows during our July trip and, at each show, we found a nearby empty seat and knew Greg had joined us for the show.

I had mentioned this in my trip report, it's impossible to not think about him when I'm at a Vegas show or on the patio of MAG.

I can't bring myself to erase any of the private messages we exchanged while he was helping me with my many seating questions. Sometimes I just go back and read them, they make me smile!

When in Vegas last week I wanted to go to a show, but I had no idea where to sit.. so i didn't go.

This is true. I really didn't want crappy seats, couldn't ask Greg, so just decided to do something else. Mad me sad as well. He was a good board member.

If I could have 1/10th of the positive comments after I pass that GregRio received, and continues to receive, I would consider my life a success and my time well spent.

All of these comments are a wonderful reflection on the man and his willingness to help others and always be kind and respectful.

    There is no better legacy.

Greg was the one who helped us pick best seats for love at mirage.

a year or so later wife suggested asking him for advice on another show we were considering.

she is also gone now due to cancer.

Those who got to meet Greg are the lucky ones. I missed my chance one night at Ceasars Palace when I was delayed and arrived at the show too late to find him. Stood outside the exits after the show trying to spot his red tennies in the crowd.

Rarely is such depth of knowledge paired with such kindness, patience, and generosity.

Greg would want us to ask about the shows and trust that someone can help. In many cases, the help will be no more than a reiteration of what Greg taught us.

    Great thread Chef.

Last week when I was in town we saw Rock Vault at LVH and couldn't help but think at the time that I would have loved to read Greg's review on the show.

    RIP Greg.
