    My Trip Report

Went to Caesars for 5 nights. Arrived Saturday night about 8 pm. 2hrs late, so that sucked. Watched Wolf of Wall Street on the plane, that was awesome. I laughed out loud and scared the old guy next to me. Good start.

Got checkling who tried to tell us we needed to pay for Roman Tower. Ah, no. Augustus Tower comp, here's the confirmation. Oh, we're sold out of Augustus but I've got you in the Forum Tower now and you can move on Sunday. Thanks. No tip for you.

Brushed that off with the second vodka red bull of the night. First was in the town car from Presidential. Love that VIP shuttle. $18 p/p. no hassle.

Head down to Slice bar for pizza and drinks. Ah, this is the life. It's no snorting coke from a hookers ass, but it's not the 80's anymore either. Hang out for a while then go find Anthony from the sports book at the Sea Horse. He's busy working the service window so he's swamped. The sports book will open in Sept. Yeah!

Think we see Gaggles and GF at Seahorse, but we're not sure so chicken out on saying hello. So we head over to Ballys to see Donny and Rick. Have a quick couple with them and head to the Linq to check it out. Love it! But need to go see how the Cromwell is so off we go for a drink and a gamble. I fell in love.

Here's the conversation. What do you have for a 40 something yr old women who wants to be a rock star? A Moscow Mule of course. Excellent. My new bffs.

Hit the wall around midnight and headed back to Caesars. 3am my time. No big wins, no big losses.

    Will post days separately.

    Sunday. World Cup Championship

Stumble out of bed at the crack of 2pm. What? We missed the World Cup? Forgot to make our bets on Saturday so saved some money.

Discovered we love the Forum tower and let them know we're not going to move. Now I feel bad I was bitchy to checkling girl.

Eat something at food court and get our vp on.
    image.jpg

Play a little at Caesars then head over to Sullys to spend the afternoon with James. No wins there.

Take a walk to the Linq and grab some food at the Yarde House. Tried to eat on the patio and it's just too hot. Eyeball sweating hot. Hubby has some wheat beers and I have a cider. Flat bread was excellent and salads were good.

Walk on to the Quad and check out Tag. I have one of their beertails or cockbeers something like that. It was great. The music SUCKED. Couldn't stay. EDM so loud my ears bleed at 6pm. Now I know why no one else was there. I did hit a foak so cashed out up. That was nice.

    image.jpg
Drink at Tag. It was good.

Let's go check out Osheas. Also empty... Weird. Play at the bar and have a couple. By now I'm sure I'm back to goose and seltzer and hubby colors light. Brian "lucky" the leprechaun is now a manager and hubs chats him up for a while. Nice guy. Still does a shift as Lucky.

Find our way to flamingo and take a seat at Bugsys. They have a STP so hubby takes that. We order drinks and I know they're uptight about what the serve so I order a kettle and seltzer. Are you diamond? Yes, does that matter for kettle? No, I just needed to ask. Weird. That happened both times we played at Bugsys. Only place they always ask, even for kettle. I really don't like that bar.

Off to see my new bffs at Cromwell. Spend the night with them until I can't remember my name. Stop at Caesars food court for 2nd dinner then up to bed.

Another night down. No big wins, no big losses.

I love The Cromwell too though my luck there wasn't too good this week. I can't believe you chickened out on seeing if it was Gaggles and GF. Off to a good start, looking forward to the rest.

Thanks. I know I should have said hello, but the thought of "what if it's not him and a stranger thinks I'm crazy" got stuck in my head. If I had had another couple of drinks, liquid courage would have done it.

    Posting 3rd day next.

Monday, the wtf were we thinking day...

Get up early since we passed out by 11. Go to Mirage for breakfast. Like getting your own drinks otherwise their buffet is just ok. Even for breakfast. We made a plan to do different things this trip and playing at the mirage sports book bar was one of those. It's 10am so we grab seats and order a Bloody Mary and a kettle, seltzer w orange.

Just didn't dig it there. Ceilings are too low and it's dark. I want to like it but can't. Head back to caesars. Hubs sits at his STP and I'm next to him playing 3,5,10play DDB. Have some good luck. Love the 10 play and wish I was brave enough to play more than a couple of hands at .50.

    image.jpg

After a few drinks and wins head over to Ballys and see James at Sullys. Spend a few hours there. Lose a bunch of cash and walk over to Cromwell. Did I tell you I love this place? Brad now knows us by name and welcomes us with a Moscow mule and a colors lite. After a few get the itch to play roulette.

    image.jpg
    My bffs.

Buy in for a couple hundred and play nickels. Here's some pics from that.
    image.jpg
    That was husband, not me.

I thought I won, but never remember cashing in any chips... Ok, don't remember walking back to caesars either, but I know we ate in the food court because I found the slip. I believe we went up for a "nap" about 5pm because we woke up at 9 and were ready to start again!

Crank up Blurred Lines and Timber to get us going. A couple of country drinking songs, Throw back a five hour energy and a protein bar and we're good to go, but where? Sullys of course. But first, we need to have a drink at every vp bar in Caesars. This is a ton of fun and I have a great watermelon vodka drink at Lobby bar. Ok, maybe it was 3.

Finally get to Sullys and see Donny and friends. I hardly ever hit anything there, but hear stories of all these people hitting 20k. I'd settle for 2k. Have no idea how long we stayed but we found our way back to Cromwell. The boys were glad to see us for round 2.

Hubs meets a guy from Romania and chats with him for a long time. Lots of back slapping and fist pumps. Bartenders ask me if I want them to break it up. They think something sketchy may be going on. No way, I think they're falling in love. Lots of hugs and our gypsy man is on his way.

I put a hundo in when we sat down. Got it up to 200 and cashed out. We sat at that bar for hours drinking and talking. It was awesome and I wish I remembered more. It gets all fuzzy after the waiters from Giadas come down and I think they're Jahovah witnesses and tell them they shouldn't be drinking. Fun kids that now have a story to tell about some crazy lady. After what felt like 100 drinks and 100 hours we went to bed at 5am. True rock stars...in our own minds.

Tuesday, the day I wish I was dead (at least for the first 12 hrs)

Hubby up and about early and rearing to go. Me, not so much. Got up at 9am feeling fine and made a coffee. Obviously I must have still been buzzed. As soon as that wore off I had a horrible hangover.

Hubs hit the road and started drinking at the tilted kilt. He was smart and never sobered up! He stopped in to check on me around 2. Needed more time. At 4 I dragged my old, hung over, sorry ass out of bed and we head over to Cosmo. We have a free night and I'm determined to get a fountain view balcony.

Once we start walking I'm like a shark. If I stop moving, I'm going to die. Make it to Cosmo. Get checked in by Ryan. I have no shame and just hold a $20 in my hand as I ask for the fountain view in the west tower. Ryan assures me east is better view and no club noise. Marquee is closed tonight. Nice. I stumble to the room just wanting to lay back down.

Room is awesome! And bed and pillows are fantastic. I climb in and stay there all day. Hubs has some good adventures at Caesars as he heads back to home base to bring us some things for the night. I get up and sit on the patio. Now this is nice and how life should be lived.

    image.jpg
    View from room

    image.jpg
    You can't beat this.

One of hubs adventures was at the Linq when he sees a 16yr old with her boob hanging out just walking around. He confesses he's conflicted. He wants to look, but he feels guilty looking... But he must look. He catches her eye and starts laughing. She looks down, laughs, and puts her boob back. Yes, he noticed she had eyes.

Hubs brings me McDonalds, the worlds best hangover food. I'm finally feeling human, but want to stay in and watch the fountains. Great relaxing night. Great tub, great shower. Cosmo is worth paying for.

No play for me today so I guess that's a win.

    Wednesday, redemption day

Get up like a normal person instead of a db like yesterday. Order the American breakfast. Plenty of food for 2. Sit on the balcony until 11 and checked out. Back to caesars.

Ask the waitress for vodka, seltzer, with a splash of orange. She didn't know what seltzer was... It's pretty hard to explain, but I thought I did a good job by saying sparkling water. It must not have translated well because She handed it me and said I got you a double. Ok. Hard to drink before noon or anytime, but I choked it down.

Sat down at the multi play games and had a great start to the day.

    image.jpg

    image.jpg
    A little vp porn

I didn't realize I had the kicker too. Hubs was next to me and he said You need to make sure you hold that kicker. Good call love.

Play down what was left in the game and head out to celebrate with a sandwich from the earl. Don't play at Pho and walk on through to Paris. Play at guastaves for a while. It's nice that the chairs are actually the right height for the bar and all the same height! Finally. No excitement here so we head to check out Sullys. All our regulars are off but Dave is there so we chat with him for a while.

I started drinking unsweetened iced tea with vodka. Tastes good, gets a little caffeine and a little buzz in your system. Not overdoing it today. We fly out tomorrow and I do not want to be hungover for that.

We have passes to the high roller that we haven't used yet so we walk to the Linq via Cromwell. Sit at the bar and hubby finally has a female bartender. Andrea was very nice and didn't let him finish a drink before the next one was there. He needed a lift was drinking red bull and vodka. I had switched to just iced tea. Lame I know...but I want to stay up for dinner. We have passes to the bellagio buffet.

It's 4:30 or so and time for the high roller. We got passes for free drinks earlier in the trip from Ballys bartenders. Just mention you're going and they've got free drink passes to hand out.

No lines for the ride and with a slushy drink and coors lite in hand we step right on. About 8 of us in the pod. I liked it. There's no thrill involved unless you need to pee. I avoided that by going right before we got on. I know it's got to be much better at night but it was still nice durning the day. We'll try it again.

Hubs causes a scene by trying to get off the same way he got on. Freaks the ride attendants out. I know he did it on purpose. He's an ass, but he's mine.

The Linq is now in full swing and there's lots of street performers and artists. We stop and watch some street magic in front of flamingo. The guy is great! Seriously so. For his last trick he picks me to pick a card, any card. He's funny and it ends up he has my card in his mouth... Amazing and yet gross at the same time.

It's time for dinner at bellagio. It was good. I'm really not a buffet fan, but thanks to myvegas we eat at them for free. That makes me a fan.

We spend the rest of the night at Caesars hitting the Lobby Bar and apostrophe for the last time this trip. Hit the sack about midnight. It's always a little sad the last night.

Tomorrow we head home and back to real life. So, that sucks. Leaving with exactly this same amount of cash we came with, that's a big hell yeah! Haven't had a winning or break even trip in a long time. This is better than losing.

    Hope you enjoy our trip!

    Beth

Thanks Rocky. Kevin usually writes them but we stopped since it takes a lot of time to write them and most of our trips are just repeats. Drink, gamble, drink, eat, pass out.

James, Anthony says the new sports book bar will be open for the start of sept. 35 vp game tops. Should be nice.

Carve, that was a really good drink at Tag. It's worth the stop. They just need to work on what music to play when.

I had one of those in a copper mug at the Yard House last trip; paid the extra 4 bucks to keep the mug for use at home. Moscow Mules are a great hot weather drink.

If your going to be stuck in a room not feeling well, Cosmo is the place to be. It was a great room and just sitting on the patio made me feel like I was still in the thick of things. I'm treating it like my own private spa day.

And Charliepeete, I'll try one in October at the Yarde house. I've seen those mugs and just didn't know what was served in them.
At Cromwell they use ginger beer with an alcohol content (some don't) so it packed a punch and was very tasty.
