Going with my GF first week of May. Really want to go to the tank and do slide and all that. should we rent daybed first floor or in the hideout. Or should we just show up and risk being turned away. And if he rent in the hideout can we then go to the first floor and the slide. Thanks

If you rent in the Hideaway you can certainly goto the first floor. Thats your chance to take the slide.

I prefer the Hideaway to the regular pool area. No kids running around and a bit more relaxed. The wife and I will be staying at the GN in June and we plan to rent a cabana in the Hideaway. We rented one once before and thought it was great.

We reneted the loungers at the Hideaway to avoid the kids but I swear some of the adults there were way worse than any little kids!

Be careful in the slide we saw a few scrapes and shredded tee shirts as a result of the slide. My friend went down it once without problems though.

+1 on paying the extra to be in the Hideaway and avoid the kids. It can get crowded at times, especially on the weekend. They also have an adults only area upstairs that has no fees, it can be a bit less crowded due to the topless option and it is absent children. Just past the cabanas.
