My husband has been totally consumed with issues with his parents, failing health, a fall and broken hip, and dementia for his mother. They live 5 hours away.. so he has been on the phone, computer, driving back and forth to convince them to consider assisted living, and now planning the move on the 25th. I suggested Treasure Island Resort and Casino - about 30 miles away for us for some dinner and gambling. Hubby prefers the WI casinos as they have Craps.. but closest one is 1hour and 15 minutes away.. and that is just too much of a jaunt for a quick night run. Arrived home from work, walked the dog, grabbed my players card.. and off we go. I had an inkling that I wanted to play Sex and the City - the original.. don't know why.. just did. After dealing with some yucky traffic (I drove, Hubby listed off all the items on his list that he thinks he needs to move for his parents) we made it to TI around 6:00. We agreed to meet at the restaurant at 7:15 PM. We grabbed a Bloody Mary at the bar.. and headed off in our own directions. He plays cards, Video Poker and Keno if he can find a free machine.. I SLOT. I started on a Pirate machine that is not WMS, has a Major and a Minor - and you have to get 5 of a symbol to get those prizes. I trigged the bonus, 10 free spins, and re-triggered, and won $157 buck. Nice start.. . I then found the new Where's the Gold - If you get the 3 Dynamite- you choose your character, and once the nuggets and wilds are dropped, you have 4 screens. If you get 15 Dynamite symbols anywhere in the 4 active screens, you wind the combined total of all screens. I didn't get all 15, but I did get a nice $87 bonus. Move to the left as my machine went quiet, and the lady to my left had moved down one, and played Aristrocrat's White Tiger. I was betting $2.50 Lined up all Tigers with the Bonus symbol in the middle and it payed @$270 I got to choose the center item for a Multiplier or a shot at the Progressive.. I got the 10 times .. so my Total Win was $1,477.00.. HAND PAY. The lady who had been playing the machine wasn't too happy.. and left before they came to pay me out. I met the hubby for dinner with a big Grin on my face .. He said "You did not do it again" and I pulled out the 1099 and the Cash. Ate dinner and we played some pull tabs with my winning - $50 in, $110 winners, put 30 back in and took $80 cash, and won ANOTHER $110, got $80 Cash and played 30 more.. won 11. I told Hubby at dinner that I was stalking Sex and the City.. both Carrie and Mr. Big were over $1400. I was sure I was going to win on this game. I went to play these machines.. there are two side by side facing a wall. After a few minutes of playing a game I had no interest in.. the left machine opened up. I put in $100 and played $6.00 a spin.. that is a lot of money on one spin for me.. but I couldn't imagine getting one of the big bonues.. and picking.. and missing out on the progressive. I was cash flush so was pushing it. Left machine hit nothing, and the right machine opened up. I moved over.. and I'm so glad I did.. was going into the Dress and the Shoes bonus, got Charlotte twice and Miranda twice.. got the dumb RING bonus, and actually got a decent win. Dress bonus with a 10 times.. and had a 3200 point Match.. Whooo Hooo. Had the game up around $600 when I got the shoe bonus, I picked and got Charlotte's shoes. Surprise after 5 spins I finally am able to join the Full Screen Club!! It is hard to see.. but the full screen paid $1,458.. WOW. I was in SHOCK. I was paid out quickly - ordered a sprite from the pop lady who had cheered me on during my bonus spins. Tipped her $20. She was all grins and said it was her biggest tip ever. Left the machine with my hand pay, plus $600 buck. Went to meet Hubby by the doors, and he could tell when I walked up that I had done it again. Left the Casino at 9:00 PM. Not a bad nights work.. made about $3,000 an hour. This last month has been totally surreal. I took everyone at work out for lunch today... purchased my Wreaths and Garlands from my co-workers cub scout son, and put the rest in our savings account. Hubby had a much needed break from mental prepping, and we bankrolled our Vegas Trip for our Anniversary, I know this ride can't last.. but stoked it has lasted this long.
