I like the look of it. I had no idea they were even staring in on the casino yet. I knew the hotel was under construction.

Looks good in its own right but I am seriously lamenting the disappearance of kitschy low roller joints from the 70s and 80s. :(

Obviously a big step up from what it was before but I hear ya guys on that carpet -- it's going to get filthy looking quick if they don't wash it religiously. For some reason that entire reminds me of a cross between Hooter and the Tropicana.

    I agree 100%!

It does look very crisp and new, but also looks like they bought out IKEA during a big sale. Just blah.

Nothing about the design distinguishes the place from any other with a contemporary design. I doubt I would remember anything about it once I passed through. My office has more personality.

I am at the Quad right now and I can say that the new area looks good. It looks out of place compared with the old, dark casino. It is a good start.

There is also a flat screen TV in the room. That is a change. There may be hope yet. Let it play out and we will see what happens.

I just stayed there this last weekend. I liked it, the rooms are the same and really need updating, but everyone knows the issues with the rooms. The casino was great, was airy a little bright and they have stools at the craps tables!

Rooms with a flat screen? Do tell, what room did you have? Was it a deluxe?

They walled off the old casino for remodeling and the wall runs the length of the Registration Desk and probably only 8 feet wide.

Going to be a nightmare to check in during the peak hours.

Funny, but I have been wishing for some kind of seating at craps tables FOREVER! That alone will get me inside, even though I think it's the black hole of humanity. Last trip I took a coworker there. He said he had a "good feeling" about the craps table. We both promptly lost $100 each in short order.

Stools at craps tables, count me in next trip.

I will really miss IP when I go to Vegas in June. I always liked the atmosphere and decor. I also find it disappointing that most new hotels have no theme and are very bland. I will miss Bill's for the same reason. Obviously CET hopes to generate more money through these revamped properties. I will stick with Hooters and Riviera to play in places where I feel at home.
