    Hello All,

just a quick question. My first time staying at The Palms so I have no idea what to expect. I've only stepped foot in the Palms once to go to a birthday party years and I mean years ago.

So I have the option of choosing between the Ivory Suite or the One bedroo Suite @ Palms Place. I have no idea what the difference is or if it is even worth it.

I've been reading some not so good reviews as of late on the Palms property and how its not like it used to be. I'm a little nervous and thinking about booking Aria but the price is ridiculous for the few days I will be there.

    All responses appreciated.

I love the one bedroom Ivory Suites and really enjoy the Palms property. If Palms Place balconies weren't locked off, I'd say go for the one bedroom there but since they are, the Ivory Suite elevators take you right into the casino....Palms Place is a lonely walk in the wee hours of the morning from the casino. Don't let the reviews scare you off....great property, staff, dining options and still some goid VP paytables to be found.

We like the palms and have stayed a couple of times. They do have good VP as breanna pointed out. you also have the Gold Coast across the street along with Rio if you need a change of pace. We have not stayed in Palms Place so I cannot speak of it but from pictures I have seen, it looks very nice. Palms has good food options. they have a new Hooters if your into that. Nice sports book and a decent food court. I recommend Chronic Tacos and Earl of Sandwich.

I love the Palms. It's one of my favorites. I have not stayed at Palm Place though. One step below Aria, but there are a lot of plusses; small and easy to maneuver; movie theatre; food court; good restaurants...

Haven't stayed in an Ivory Suite, but I've stayed in a Salon Suite (which was great in it's own right). Just stayed a night at the Palms Place with the wife in a 1 bedroom suite. We loved it! Lets do pros and cons. Cons- About five minutes and a lonely trip down the sky tube to get from your room to the Palms Casino and to said Earl of Sandwich (really good, really cheap). Definitely apart from the action, which could be a pro for many people. There were, as some reviews say, some beat-up parts of the room we stayed in- we had to call maintenance to replace the bathtub stopper, some of the furniture had some dings and minor tears. Pros - A fireplace! The jetted bathtub overlooking the strip, the three showerhead huge shower, washer/dryer, more than one toilet, full subzero fridge with icemaker. Three huge closets. The skytube exit takes you right to the food court.
I really, really liked the Salon Suite, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the 1 bedroom at Palms Place. I'd look at a walkthrough on youtube and see if it's for you.

Not sure if you are still looking for opinions on this.. I just stayed at the Palms on Saturday and was very fortunate to have a complimentary upgrade to the Ivory Suite. I have stayed in a studio at Palms Place and enjoyed it but the separate bedroom is definitely nice. I have always received great customer service from the staff and this was my second visit for 2015.
