Anyone been to the Mob Museum?? Did you like it? Would you recommend it??
Yes and yes. Was there on opening day. Terrific ribbon-cutting ceremony. It's worth t $18 admission. Allow about two hours max.
I have it penciled in already. Can't wait to check it out. Sam, how long would you say you were there?
Yes, yes and yes.
Wifey and I got in for $10 each with my Nevada Seasonal ID. I think one of the things contributing greatly to the "vibe" at the Mob Museum is the classic setting of the old courthouse. There's plenty of space and things are laid-out nicely.
I'm a retired LEO and my wife is still serving as one. Both of us have always been fascinated by the Mob stuff - particularly the Las Vegas links. We did not see anything new in the Mob Museum we have not seen before, but what's convenient is having it all in one place. They've done a class job of putting it together. There is somewhat of a "cheese" factor to some of it but I think you'd end up with too serious a venue if that were not there.
Yes, finally, yes, and yes.
It took far more time than I had expected. At least 3 hours.
Carry your cell phones, as your group WILL get split up as you wander through the exhibits.
Lots of information about the "characters" involved in early Las Vegas!
Thanks for all the responses...I too have always liked "Mob" stuff...some kind of fascination...LOL...just actually finished reading Karen Gravano's new book. Will definately make a trip to the museum for sure!!
I was camped out about 3 hrs for the ribbon cutting and another 90 minutes inside.
I have yet to read her book but I won a VH1 contest when it came out and received a signed book from her...maybe will bring it on the plane
My wife and I were there two weeks ago and loved it.
It is an easy 5 minute walk from Fremont Street!
Nice on the autographed book win...definately bring it with you...I really enjoyed it ...enjoy your trip too!!
